I am sure that for those of you that dropped by Camana Bay on Saturday to take in the 2^nd annual Rotary/Rotaract Bed Race certainly had a great time ….And…. all proceeds raised during the event went towards Polio Plus so stay tuned for the final tally!

Our popular 5th Tuesday of the month - Spouse`s Night was hosted by Rotarian Kent Eldermire on board the Cayman Explorer. A night of fun on a sunset cruise was enjoyed by our Rotarians, their significant others and guests. See some pictures here......

  A hearty and jovial presentation kept the attention of all Rotarians!

In recognition of International Literacy Day, September 8th, Central was on hand to present certificates of achievement to several of HM Northward, inmates, who successfully completed the Cayman Islands Reading Aides literacy programme (CIRA). President Ravi Kapoor stated “Rotary Central is committed to its continued support of such a worthwhile programme in promoting literacy and encouraged the inmates to stay the course and embody UNESCO 2012 theme of “Literacy and Peace” to attaining individual freedom.

The CIRA literacy programme at HM Northward Prison has proven to be successful with the aid of Rotary Central sponsorship, its primary source of funding.

Record new members Inducted

For the first time in the history of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central four new members were inducted.  The installation of the new members: Thomas McAdams III, Brandan Lee, Pamela Freeman and David Freeman, was overseen by President Ravi Kapoor. “We are pleased to have started our year on such a high note with the addition of four excellent individuals who no doubt will strength our membership and allow us to do more in the community and internationally.  Rotary Central has been known since its formation over 25 years ago as a club that is prepared to get its “hands dirty” in helping the community.  As such the club decided that starting with this year all new members will, along with the information package and badge will get a pair of work gloves!  The new members accepted them enthusiastically!

This past Wednesday and Saturday, we were able to almost finish repairs to the CI Humane Society generator shelter building. Thanks to help from Rotarians; Sgt. Eddie Thompson, PP Mario Ebanks, Lyndhurst Bodden, Ravi Kipoor, Dir. Steve Moore, Elsi Cristoffersen, Phil Slater, PP Dave Phipps, PP Al Thompson (material discount), Rotary spouse-Bob Moseley and (my neighbor) Kieran from Pestkill (delivery truck).

Even with the occasional light rain and flurry of sawdust, we were able to demolish the old shed, install the walls, roof and most of the siding. We will be out again this Saturday to complete the doors, shingles and painting. Cayman 27 even stopped by to do a story.

The second of its kind reception recognizing librarians around the Cayman Islands, was recently organized by Rotary Central on 21 June,  2012. The event held at the George Town Library, awarded Librarians for their commitment and efforts in the Cayman Islands community for the year.

Thanks Dir. Todd, Sergeant Gilles, Sergeant Mike and wife Kerry for helping with the trash can project last Saturday.  We have 15 bins with a first coat of sealant on them and hope to have more next week. 

Cayman style food and liquid fellowship were just a small piece of the wonderful president's day held on Public Beach on Sunday afternoon. The paddle boarding proved to be a hit with everone and certainly was a great source of entertainment for those of us watching onshore. We always knew Paul was a kid at heart and that Richard marched to his own drum ... We were more than pleased to see such a great turn out of our Rotaractors... who stayed until the bitter end... Over all I think it is safe to say that a great time was had by all.

The Healing Paws Program in Co-Operation with the Sunrise Adult Training Center would like to thank the Rotary Club International (Central) for the donation of the vests for our Dogs and volunteers. Healing Paws is a special organization dedicated to enhance the quality of life for the elderly and special needs individuals. The Rotary Club's vest will help in recognizing our program.

A well attended, successful  work party was held on Saturday March 24th to do some repairs to 4 damaged bus shelters. We also moved a shelter that was knocked from its spot in a car crash on Shamrock Rd back into position.The work party was attended by 7 Rotarians and two welcome guests David and Hugo who got thrown into the deep end straight away!

Our Club sponsored a social at the Lighthouse School on Friday March 23^rd. The kids and some friends and family enjoyed a Pajama Easter Egg Hunt and Dance . The students came dressed in their Pjs and brought along some  flashlights. After some disco dancing in the gym hall, they were treated to  a Fashion show and the egghunt.

For the second year in a row, Rotary Central tackled diabetes, the all too common condition within Cayman Islands, by hosting its free island-wide diabetes screening event at eight locations throughout Grand Cayman.

Please get out there and help with our Club's second annual island-wide diabetes screening event. We will be busy screening at the following locations from 10am to 2pm on Saturday March 10^th.

Republix, Cost U Less, A. L. Thompson's ( New Location added this year)  Foster's Strand, Kirk Supermarket, Hurley's, Foster's Airport & Countryside.

On March 3^rd and 4^th 2012, Rotary Central proudly sponsored medical professionals of varying specialties from the public and private sectors to a most informative Diabetes Educators’ Course which was presented by Mrs. Andrea Hunt, Certified Diabetes Educator & Consultant from Jamaica and the USA. The course culminated in a most impressive pinning ceremony on March 4^th at the Cayman Islands Hospital, in which the course participants earned the title of “Diabetes Resource Clinician”.

In continuation with its drive against diabetes, Rotary Central facilitated a two hour continued medical education hours for Pediatricians, pediatric nurses, nutritionists and dietitians who met with Mrs. Andrea Hunt, Certified Diabetes Educator/Consultant, and addressed the management of Type 1 diabetes. In its continued effort to improve the quality or reading skills in the Cayman Islands, the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central (Rotary Central) has extended its reach to the library at Northward Prison

“Rotarians are mindful of the needs of everyone in the community to have access to the written word. Books not only provide readers with pleasure but they are so important for developing the mind in positive ways and for reference. Also, the development of  reading abilities by those people whose literacy skills require enhancing will help them to cope better with the normality’s of every day life such as understanding signs, notices and forms” said Rotarian Graham Wood who co-ordinated the project to provide the books to the Prison Service.

Saturday 18th February saw the first Bed Race to eradicate Polio at Camana Bay.  The event was a join collaberation of all the rotary and rotaract clubs in the Cayman Islands.  A great time was had by all. 

Central won 'Most Outrageous Bed', and PP Dave's bed won 2nd place and the 'Broken Sping' Award. 
Special thanks goes to Eli and his family for producing the bed and the food and drink during contruction - it was a lot of fun just building the thing.  Great job guys - we know who the art critics of the club are now....

Rotary Central has provided volunteer support of the Junior Achievement Programme, Business Ethics. Six Volunteers/Rotarians recently donated an hour a week for 7 weeks to the Cayman Islands Further Education Center and presented the Business Ethics Programme to year 12 students. The programme delivers ethical decision making through hands-on classroom activities.

The stage was set for a big win at Grand Harbour on Saturday! Three bands entertained the crowds who gathered in anticipation of the big win. The big winner of the CI$40000 cash prize was Kayra Hydes. Kayra was not at the event, but was delighted to get a call from the President of Rotary Central Fiona Moseley immediately after the draw.

Rotary Central's Diabetes screening event at Foster's Airport Supermarket on November 19, 2011 was a great success! Despite being an unscheduled activity for the Club, we identified the need to acknowledge Diabetes Awareness during the month of November. Five Rotarians zealously volunteered their time to assist with the screening activities between 10am-2pm. Three HSA nurses and one General Practitioner also volunteered their time and shared their medical expertise.

Rotaract Blue Cayman Islands (“Rotaract Blue”) organized The Rotaract Blue 5k Movement at Camana Bay on November 5, 2011 at 7:30am.  Rotaractors, Rotarians, family and friends joined in to help raise funds for Polio.  Can you spot the Rotary Central participants?

The Fred Speirs Memorial Interschool Debate Competition kicked off last Friday with passionate and rousing arguments from students representing most high schools on the island.  The moot, suggested by Rotarian Kevin Butler, was "Convicted Sex Offenders should be registered in the Cayman Islands".  With 8 high schools participating, there were four debates in the first round of knockout competition. 

        1.  Cayman Prep vs. John Gray B
        2.  Triple C vs. Cayman Academy
        3.  Cayman Brac vs. Grace Christian Academy    
        4.  John Gray A vs. Clifton Hunter

Dir Susie & Dir. Larry Presents a cheque for $8,500 for Ready to Read program to GT Primary Principal Marie Martin. The overall goal of the program is to help young children and their families to achieve early literacy success through offering free weekly workshops for children, providing books for families, and showing parents the importance of early literacy.  Ready to Read! will impact 60 families in the 2011-2012 school year, serving 20 families each term. The program will target children ages 0 to 4 years old.

CIRA had a successful event this last Friday September 23rd, 2011.  The “Literacy Heals” day event at HM Northward Prison had an excellent attendance by relevant stakeholders including Cayman Island Rehab services, to include HE the Governor Duncan Taylor who opened the event.

Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central strengthened the values of World Literacy Day in the Cayman Island with the distribution of  1,000   dictionaries to  10  primary schools.  Present at the distribution were Rotarians Carol Jur (Chairperson), Past President, Len layman, Michael Mandish, Elias Kozaily, Graham Wood, Susie Bodden & Larry Tibbetts (Director- Vocational Service), along with Holly Morris.

Our Regular Meeting held on Tuesday August 23rd was a fantastic evening.  Rotary Central held a very successful WINE TASTING event.attended not only by our regular members but also a contingent of Rotaractors, ADG Rosie and DGE Jeremy. We also used this opportunity to invite prospective members as August is Membership month.

Thursday September 8^th is International Literacy Day and to mark the event Rotarian Carol is organizing distributing Dictionaries to year 5/6 students in all the public schools.  Many thanks to Rotarians Carol, Desiree, Mike Mandish, Director’s Larry and Naude, Secretary Sandy and President Fiona for meeting bright an early on Saturday Aug 20^th to “sticker” the dictionaries and organize the boxes for each school. Thanks President Fiona for the coffee and doughnuts and Secretary Sandy for your famous Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins…YUM!

Tuesday August 16th Rotary Central was taught the "Power Clap" by the 4 RYLA Students that presented to our club about their experience in St. Augustine Florida.  Max, Juzan, Josie, and Alonzo elaborated on the leadership seminars and community service project they participated in while attending the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.

The Joint Club BBQ held on Sunday July 31^st at Fosters in Cayman Kai was a fantastic event.  Our club was represented by approx 30 Rotarians and guests. We had arrivals by land and sea.  We even saw some of those elusive species such as the lesser spotted Robin Garnham, and the red breasted Don Foster and Chris Hanni. Dr. Meggs finally made it after following the smoke cloud…..

The bus shelter crew were out again on Saturday !We put a new roof on one shelter. In fact that shelter had it's roof cannibalized in 2005 to repair other damaged shelters.The shelter itself was a touch out of square but responded well to a good bashing with a 4 x 4.  See photo if you wish to become familiar with the new coaxing technique

We had a great work party 16 July 2011 and installed three new bus shelters. We have one new shelter left to deploy from the 5 new shelters purchased Deceber 2010.We had a fantastc turnout with 11  attendees:  PP Altee, PP Dave, Rot Marco, Sandy, Carl, Phil, Phil's son Mike, Gilles, Steve C, Mike P, Greg, Dir Naude.  We installed two shelters (13B nd 13C) and the lay bye between the Glass House and new government admin building.  We worked closey with Government on this placement and thanks are due to Rot Steve Moore for his assistance on this.

 

 

 

 

Despite a wet start to the day we had 5 hard working Rotarians (and friends) show up at the Hope for Today Foundation campus near Hell in West Bay on Saturday to commence the garage to office renovation. Director Todd put everyone to work erecting a wall in the garage. President Fiona and Secretary Sandy now know how to use a drill (in forward and reverse!!!).  Rotarian Gilles, PP Mario and Dir Todd removed the garage door, erected a wall and installed a new door. This definately goes to show that many hands make light work and of course none of this could be possible without good planning by Dir. Todd. Stay tuned for details on phase 2 of this project.

Our fantastic and talented bus shelter team was in action again on Sat 9 July 2011 repairing damage caused by vandals. See pictures.  We replaced shelter windows at Old Man Bay and Bodden Town and visited the site for next week's new shelters installtion.  Many thanks to all seven Rotarians who attended !  Our next work party will be Saturday 16 July when we have at least two shelters to place in net new locations,   Rot. Rotary Central hosted the 5^th Annual Science Fair on the 2^nd of April 2011, however events like these are not possible without the support of generous sponsors. Rotary Central would like to thank DART, the Major Sponsor of this event, for the $10,000 sponsorship as well as providing the Arts and Recreation Centre as the venue for the Fair. Such generous contributions will enable the fair to continue to move to a higher level of excellence as we strive to improve the fair and the experience of each participant.

 

The Rotary Central Science Fair provides students the opportunity to show the world their new, exciting, and thoughtful research ranging in areas from botany to zoology and from astronomy to mathematics. The 2011 Science fair boasted a record number of participating schools, students and projects.

An exciting evening with fun and laughter cumulated with the installation of Rotarian Fiona Moseley as the new President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central, better known as Rotary Central.

Dear Central Rotarians, Vandals struck a few bus shelters in the last few months hence the bus shelter team replaced five broken windows on the weekend.    In attendance at the work party were  Rotarians, Naude, Fred, Phil (and son Mike), Paul K, Marco, Greg, and Marco’s guest Manuel, with support from PP Lyndhurst, and PP Altee.

Four students attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in St. Augustine, Florida from June 23 to 26.  Rot. Martin chaperoned the group and ensured they got there and back safely.  This was the first time we have sent students to this RYLA and turned out to be a great experience for the students.  It was held in very historic Flagler College and the students stayed on site.  The experience included a number of leadership seminars including a full day of community service.  Speakers spoke on a number of subjects including the 7 habits of an effective teen, business etiquette, and knowing your personality type.  The Cayman Islands students were able to network with a number of students from the northern part of Florida and got some great ideas as they move on to their college and university experience.

Four were newly diagnosed diabetics.
Ten diabetics were seen (Five of which were uncontrolled and were referred to their general practitioner and also to a dietitian). One of these uncontrolled diabetics was urgently referred to the hospital because of the extremely high blood sugar level and another non-diabetic condition that was identified.

On Saturday morning our PP Len Layman was awarded the Cayman Islands Certificate and Badge of Honour at the annual Queen`s Birthday parade.

Congratulations PP Len! Our sincere thanks for your selfless commitment to Community Service of Rotary Central - we can not reach out to achieve our goals without the work people like yourself do year after year, often unnoticed!

On Friday, June 10th, 2011 Rotary Central presented Sarah Potkins of Cayman Prep and High School the Literary Awardfor her short story entitled “An untouched paradise.”

This year Junior Achievement Awards Banquet proved yet another successful year for one of Rotary Central’s longest standing programs. This year’s event was attended by over 300 persons including many Rotarians. President Wil made closing remarks and several Rotarians participated in sponsoring awards for the evening or as advisors during the year. This year’s company of the year was memories unleashed sponsored by PwC. The top male and female achievers for the year were Drake Ebanks and Maria Tibbetts. Seven additional awards were presented on the evening as well as the announcement of the 8 lucky achievers who will be attending the Next generation leader conference in Canada in August. President Wil pledge Rotary Central’s continued support to the JA program and announced that Rotary Central will contribute 15,000 towards the expenses for the students’ attendance at the conference in Canada.

The Debate Final was held on April 14th at 6:30pm at the Court House.

 

The guest speaker at our Club`s regular meeting on Tuesday April 12th was Councilor Terry Delaney who spoke to the Club about the Hope for Today Foundation. The Hope For Today Foundation is a non-profit organization aimed at re-integrating recovering alcoholics and addicts back into their communities by bridging the gap between coming from treatment and returning home. A not-for-profit organization aimed at bridging the gap between places of treatment and/or prison, and giving the recovering addict/alcohol a safe place to be during the early months of their recovery. The Hope For Today Foundation is located in the Cayman Islands, on Grand Cayman in the district of West Bay. At present, this is the area with the most need for a safe house for recovering addicts and alcoholics, as many of our clients are from West Bay. It currently has three houses on the property, a men's facility which can house up to 7 men, and a women's facility which can house up to 5 women. There is also a manager's residence on-site. Our mission is to help put an end to recidivism in the prison system, reduce drug related crimes in our communities and to prevent the unnecessary loss of life due to drugs and alcohol.

On Wednesday, March 23rd, Rotary Central hosted its one hour monthly diabetes talk show programme on Radio Cayman's Cayman talk show "Talk Today". The programme's topic was "Diabetes in Pregnancy", and the presenting specialists were Rotary Central's very own PP Dr. George Meggs MB;BS;DM (O&G);FACOG;FRCOG; and Bethany Smith BScND; MScPHN, from the Cayman Islands Health Services. One of Rotary Central's newest members, Dr. Else Christofferson MB. BCh. LRCP & SI, was April's (8th) medical specialist on Rotary Central's monthly diabetes talk show programme on Radio Cayman's Cayman talk show, "Talk Today". It was quite fitting to have Dr. Christofferson address diabetes related issues so soon after the successful launch of the Club's annual island-wide diabetes screening event, during which she had offered professional consultation.

A new community initiative to assist drug and other substance addicts to get back on their feet in the community received a huge boost last week from Rotary Central through a generous donation of CI$4,000.

On Friday March 1st one of our bus shelters was damaged by a car smashing into it. A week later on Saturday March 9th the shelter was replaced by a work party attended by 7 Rotarians (thank you for the muffins Rotarian Sandy!) with the assistance of Rotarian Gilles with his crane from CI Precast that made shelters fly. The "flying shelters" must have been quite an attraction for the Saturday morning traffic on West Bay Road. Fortunately the action did not cause another car to crash!

Rotary Central is delighted to sponsor motivational speaker, Mr. Rashad 
Jones who will be in Grand Cayman from February 6 – 8, 2013.  Mr. Jones is 
a ‘high impact’ youth expert from the United States who has excited 
audiences throughout the world with his abilities while getting the message 
across on subjects that matter to youth.   He does this through his talents as 
a freestyle rapper and a riveting motivational speaker who connects with 
youth and tells them what they need to hear. Mr. Jones has agreed to 
Rotary’s invitation to address the youth in our community about the 
opportunities they have for a bright future and give them the ideas they 
need to succeed in their adult lives

 

Rotary Central will be hosting the annual island wide diabetes screening at all major supermarkets on Saturday 23rd March 2013.

Screenings are offered free to the general public and our teams of doctors, nurses and volunteering Rotarians will be out in force to help you check your diabetes status!

Rotary Central’s Science Fair is an annual competition held in the Cayman Islands and is scheduled for May 26, 2012. The first group of Rotarians from Rotary Central were presented their "cards" after successfully completing the First Aid Course as part of the Club`s Disaster Preparedness Plan. The course was presented by the Red Cross and a second course will be offered on Saturday May 21st

On Friday, April 8th at 1pm, Rotary Central will be hosting its monthly diabetes call-in programme on Radio Cayman's talk show, "Talk Today".

The Cayman Islands Health minister, Hon. Mr. Mark Scotland joined hundreds of people who volunteered to be screened for Diabetes on Saturday, March 26th.

Today Rotary Central hosted over 40 Year 3 students from Savannah Primary at the GT Library for a Tour of the new facility in recognition of Literacy Month.

We had a great turnout on Saturday with 11 Rotarians and Rot Paul K's son Jeffrey attending the bus shelter work party. We had to cut the chain to get into Altee's Truss plant (sorry Altee - we do appreciate your support and we had permission from Edward to address the chain matter). We uncrated the new shipment and built two of the five new shelters. We currently have three agreed spots to take them. We'll need another work party to finish the build and another one or two for shelter installation. November is Rotary Foundation Month. It all began in 1917 when then RI President Arch Klumph announced the acceptance of endowments for doing good in the world – The Rotary Foundation was born!

On Sat., Nov. 6th, Rotarians Sandy Cram and Carol Jurchison-LePlante organised a Teddy Bear's Picnic to promote the regular Saturday story session at the Georgetown library.

We will be holding a Happy Hour event this Friday from 5.00pm to 7.00pm at The Brasserie's de-stress Friday Happy Hour.  They have great specials Friday evening including; complimentary tapas, complimentary neck and shoulder massage (5-7), 2 for 1 Sangria, discounted beer, wine, and cocktails, as well as our Pizza N Pinot Night, where we serve italian-style brick oven pizzas with great Pinot wine offerings.  

This counts as a make-up event if you come to me to get signed-in. Hope to see you there.

On Friday, October 8th we had our monthly happy hour at the Doghouse, Grand Harbour, followed by ten-pin bowling at Kings Sports Centre...

Next weeks regular meeting will take place at PP Altee's house (thanks Altee for agreeing to host us).

A buffet will be provided at a cost of $20 per head (thanks Sergeant Alan).

Please bring with you any beverages you would like to drink on the evening, either alcoholic or non-alcholoic.

Unfortunately with their new booking system, the bowling alley have managed to double book us for tomorrow night so there will now be a change to the arrangements.  Our Happy Hour will now be starting at the Doghouse (now non-smoking inside) at 5.30pm and moving onto the bowling alley a little later in the evening (for those that want to).  The bowling alley is very apologetic and have offered the alley for free.  So there will now be NO charge per person for the evening.  Food and drink will be available for you to order yourself at the Doghouse and a cash bar will be available later at the bowling alley.  So any charges will just be down to your own choices re. food and beverages.  I apologise for any inconvenience this causes but I trust that we will still have a very pleasant evening and enjoy good fellowship.  If you were going to join us a little later and want to check our whereabouts please feel free to ring me on 324 1298

Rotary Central facilitated the attendance of two student representatives to the 33rd Annual World Affairs Seminar held at Carroll University, Waukesha, Wisconsin this summer. The community service club has been sponsoring students for over 10 years and covers all expenses including travel, accommodation, and meals in order for students to benefit from such an opportunity.

Last week at Dolce Vita we had 3 JA companies selling their wares to our rotarians. RBC/Spiz3 'N' Tingz, Citco/Cay Bling Ltd and Crusader/Growing Inspirations. Thank you to all the members who stopped and spent some time with these youngsters, they were really energised by the experience. I hope that we will see some more each week for the next 2 weeks until their selling ime comes to an end and they begin the next stage of their company; the wind up.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-on-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on their development.

On Friday 1st May Rotarian Todd Davey and PP Peter placed a Picnic table (which Todd constructed) by the West Bay Govt. clinic for the use of the patients that find the inside of the clinic too cold. "ROTARY CENTRAL" will be engraved into the wood in the near future to give lasting credit to Rotary.

The district conference was held last week in St. Croix.

Rotary Central's weekly meeting was addressed this week by Ms Meylys Swaby from the Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman. She gave a powerpoint presentation of photographs taken during a recent trip to India to help with the Polio Plus campaign which she undertook with 44 Rotarians from the USA, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. The group included Past President Peter Schmid from the Rotary Central Club.

A good crowd of rotarians enjoyed some Happy Hour fellowship (not to mention the complimentary canapes) last Friday at Mezza.  Thanks to all those who turned up.  The next Happy Hour will be held on Friday 1st May, venue to be announced.

On Saturday afternoon a group of rotarians and their families enjoyed a visit to Dolphin Cove for a complimentary swim with the dolphins, kindly arranged by Kent Eldemire.  Judging by the smiles on everyone's faces, a very good time was had by all.  Photos to follow.  Thanks Kent.

Thank you to the rotarians who came out today to build bus shelters. As you know our club bought ten new shelters last Rotary year which arrived in August. We finished building one more today and now have five of them constructed. We're working on placement in parrallel with construction so hopefully we'll have some new quality locations soon. YIR Greg

Rotary Central Supports Child Development Programmes at John Gray High School.

Rotary District Governor Rupert Ross and his wife Cheryl arrived in Grand Cayman, Sunday 20th on his first official visit to the Cayman Islands for the Rotary Year 2008/2009

District Governor of Rotary District 7020, Rupert Ross and his wife Cheryl, paid a visit to Rotary Central at their meeting at The Marriott Beach Resort on Tuesday evening.

Immediate Past-President Sandy presents awards to top students at University College Graduation.

There will be a community service work project on July 19th from 8-10 am. We will be cleaning up the Centennial Park in preparation for the DG's visit.

Dear Club Members, we need to perform some maintenance and clean up on the bus shelters this coming Saturday.

Rotary Central has supported The Pines Retirement Home for over 20 years and has made another generous donation of $10,000 towards the expansion and restoration of the existing building in George Town.

Four John Gray High School students recently attended the 18th District 6930 RYLA held in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Rotary Central President Ms. Sandy McFarlane and Vocational Service Director Mr. Wil Pineau present Ms. Darcy Bush with CI$1,200 to cover travel expenses for her daughter, Kimberly Myles to receive medical treatment at the University of Miami Hospital. Ms. Myles was diagnosed several years ago with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome which affects the electrical signals to the ventricles in her heart.
