This article from The Independent on Sunday lists buzz-words which may come into common usage in 2009.

It will be interesting to see which of them are added to, or usurp, the collection of 2008 (and earlier) words which have crept into our vocabulary - Hockey Mom, TBTF, Joe, maverick, change, Plutoid, etc.
