Music Extravaganza

Rotary Central's Music Extravaganza for 2010 was yet another successful community fundraiser. This year's event was held at Grand Harbour with huge audiences turning out to see the three bands performing for one of the biggest entertainment events on the local calendar. Last Saturday's CI$40,000 grand prize winner was Ms Wendy Leslie who demonstrated her keen support for the objectives of Rotary central. "I was very excited to learn that I had won. It pays to support community organisations such as rotary and I wish rotary all the best in their community efforts" said Ms Leslie. Dozens of other prizes, both cash and merchandise, were awarded to ticket buyers and in a separate draw for ticket sellers. Many of these prizes were donated by some of the best local businesses in Cayman. Mr. Wil Pineau, President of Rotary Central, described the event as "another great display of community support and entertainment." I especially want to thank all of the company sponsors, the media, the Rotary Central Organising Committee, the performers, and the public who continue to give such strong support to our Music Extravaganza every year", said Mr. Pineau. This year's event featured local bands the Vagabonds, Red White and Blue and Sea N' Bee. Funds from the clubs annual fundraiser goes directly back into the community through the club's many projects. The Music Extravaganza draws very large crowds each year for a great night of fun and dancing with Cayman's most talented local musicians.
