Have you signed up yet for the Safari Supper - time is running out?

If you are interested please contact Susie Bayles at susiebayles@aol.com with your names and (importantly) directions to your house.  Singles and groups of singles are welcome to participate.  Just let us know who you are grouping with and what address you would like to host at (with directions of course).

For the uninitiated let us try to explain how this evening works: the Safari Supper is a progressive dinner party.

Once we have the list of participating couples, we divide them into groups of usually 6 or 8 for different courses of a dinner party.  By previous arrangement with individuals, each couple will host a single course, i.e. a starter, main course or a dessert.  This information is best kept secret, by the host, so as to add to the element of surprise in the evening.

Two to three days before the event, each participant will receive an envelope with his instructions for the evening.  A typical scenario may be as follows:

Saturday 6 p.m.    Open an envelope giving instructions where to go for your starter at 7 00 p.m.

During the starter, the host opens an envelope informing guests of their main course venue.

During main course, the host opens an envelope informing guests of their dessert venue.

During dessert the host opens an envelope informing all guests where to meet up for coffee, cheese and biscuits.

Note:   We ask that those who do not provide a main course, take along to the coffee, cheese & biscuits, a few drinks (beers, softs or wine ).
