An exciting evening with fun and laughter cumulated with the installation of Rotarian Fiona Moseley as the new President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central, better known as Rotary Central.

With Luca filled to capacity Rotarians, spouse and guests looked on as Assistant District Governor Rosie Jameson installed the new offices and directors for the year 2011-2012.

Immediate Past President Wil Pineau led the first segment of the banquet by highlighting the many achievements of the Club for the year including the bus shelters, the Music Extravaganza, International Service and in particular Vocational Service.  Under Director Larry Tibbett’s leadership, the club received the Rotary Zone Award for the work done in Literacy.  This is the second consecutive time that Rotary central has received this award.
Upon installation President Fiona presented her plans for the upcoming year under the theme “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity”.  In order to achieve anything in this world, a person has to use all the resources they can draw upon. And the only place to start is with ourselves and within. Once Rotarians find their inner strength, great things can be achieved. Many of the current programs such as Junior Achievement, the bus shelters, etc will be continued and new programs will be added.  Under directives from Rotary International a new avenue of service is being added starting this year, New Generations.  This new avenue of service will focus on youth and amalgamate current programs in other areas into one.
Awards were also presented for long service as well as number of Paul Harris Fellows recognizing those who have contributed to the Rotary Foundation and those whose work in the community deserved recognition.
