Quick to respond, after a member request, Central responds quickly to a plea for help.
During last weeks Rotary Central meeting Rotarian Gregg made a plea to the members for support for a Caymanian family living in Bodden Town.
The father, Jefferson Bodden, has been employed by Public Works since leaving school. He and his wife have 13 children , the oldest is 17 and there are three children under the age of 3.
Mr. Bodden has developed bacterial pneumonia and was flown to Miami for treatment, but after returning to Cayman it redeveloped into acute pneumonia. He has now returned to hospital in Miami and whilst government insurance is covering his medical bills, the ancillary costs for his wife have put a severe strain on the family resources.
The board agreed to donate $1,000 in the form of Foster Food Fare vouchers with Woody Foster adding $100, the vouchers were presented to members of Mr. Bodden's family outside Fosters Food Fare on Saturday by Director Ken and Rotarian Gregg.
