We collected many crates of old Electronics, filled more than a dozen Shredding bins, a record amount of old Paint, hundreds of Used Tires and many litres of Used Oil!
 
We are so proud of how our Community supports us each year at this event.

Ticket sales for the 2013 Harley motor bike raffle are going well and there is just one month to go before the big draw on December 28 at the Harley Store. Tickets at 1 for $50 or 3 for $100 can be obtained from any Saamis member or by calling the call centre on 403 504-0707.

After invitations spanning 30 years by Saamis member, Ralph Richardson, local artist/sculptor Jim Marshall was inducted as a member of the Saamis Rotary Club on July 4, 2013. He has often said that his start in the brick mural field was when the Saamis Rotary Club commissioned him to develop the mural at City Hall depicting the legend of how Medicine Hat was named.

Saamis Rotary members now have tickets for the Cheer-for-Year raffle - the third one the club has conducted. Proceeds with go to the Community Foundation's Flood Relief fund. Tickets are $20 each and the winner will receive $2000 in gift cards from Superstore's Liquor Store.

Several members of the Saamis Rotary Club were present at the Harley Shop on January 10, when Barry Mildenberger and his wife, Linda, were presented with the grand prize of the 2013 motor bike. When asked what he would do with the bike, he said "We have lots of toys and I'm not sure we could do this as well."

On January 10 2013, the Saamis Rotary Club recognized 12 years of support from Ivan and Wendy Karster of the Medicine Hat Harley Davison Shop.
