D6840 Deputy Governor for Youth Services, Sam Walley of the RC of Bay St. Louis, will hold the second Open Opportunity for Interact on October 8.
This event is an opportunity for everyone who wants to know more about Interact to hear best practices and to network with one another on how to continue our important service of training future leaders even with the challenges facing our schools and our young people.

We're counting on individual Rotarians with an interest in Interact as well as those who are the point of contact between their Rotary Clubs and the Interact Clubs to extend personal invitations to those with stories to tell and those who have a proven track record with mentoring youth.  With all of the daily changes in school structures, we are counting on Rotarians to reach out directly to their contacts in local schools and to the youth they have worked with in the past.  Together we have a real opportunity to build upon the Interact platform to increase our impact with the youth in our communities.

Anniela Carracedo, our 19-20 Rotary Youth Exchange Student from Venezuela and now a member of the RC of Bay St. Louis, will talk about the incredible opportunities for Interactors to connect with their peers from around the world by putting current technology to good use.  If you haven't encouraged your Interactors to engage with Rotary Interactive Quarantine, please check it out.  You cannot come away from their website and initiatives without a sense of awe at all these teenagers have accomplished in the name of Rotary since March, 2020.  www.interactivequarantine.org
