World Drowning Prevention Day 2026 (25 July) encourages everyone to "Unite to Turn the Tide" by working together to reduce drowning. The campaign highlights the importance of water safety, swimming education and community action to help save lives.

Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for water safety and reducing the number of PREVENTABLE deaths by drowning. Our goal is to create generational change by ensuring every child can swim before they finish primary school.

Raising funds for a cause. Our club is passionate about Water Safety and Drowning Prevention. Since establishing in 2022 we have noted there are many remarkable water safety programs already in operation around the world.
Many are starting to find it hard to access continual funding to sustain their programs for various reason. As a club we have embarked on raising funds in support of assisting in sustaining their programs.
Our projects include:

- GWSDPRC club member projects
- External organisation projects
- Future projects
In 2025, Swim Vietnam provided inclusive swimming and water safety lessons to 68 children with disabilities in Hội An, helping them develop life-saving skills, improve physical strength and coordination, and build confidence and independence.
The program created a safe, supportive environment where children could experience achievement, connection, and joy, while ensuring greater access to swimming opportunities for those who are often excluded from such activities.
A three-day swim camp in flood-affected Quilpie brought families, swimmers and coaches together through water safety, connection and resilience, reminding regional communities they are not forgotten.
Led by the Global Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Rotary Club, the trip highlighted the power of swimming to support recovery, hope and community spirit.
