The Second Dip Project: Bridging Distances, Uniting Efforts
In a rare and heartwarming face to face gathering, three of our dedicated board members—Alina (President), Mair (Secretary), and Rhiannon (Project Chair)—along with some helpful family members, came together to embark on a special initiative: the Second Dip Project. As a global Rotary club, face-to-face meetings are infrequent, making this occasion particularly meaningful. The distance between our Australian members alone spans over 1,000 kilometres, highlighting the unique challenges we face. It was a great way to connect and grow our internal relationships and was a lot of fun!

The team worked all day to complete an inventory of the generous donation we received from Swim Australia. Sorting through 90 boxes of team clothing, the team meticulously organised the items, readying them for distribution. Their efforts culminated in the preparation of the first 2 boxes, destined for communities in South Auckland, New Zealand.
This donated swimwear will help these communities overcome barriers to learning essential water safety and swimming skills. By providing proper swim attire, we enable participation in aquatic education programs, adding a crucial layer of protection and fostering a safer environment.
The impact of the Second Dip Project extends beyond just clothing; it represents our commitment to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to learn how to stay safe in the water.
We are excited about the future of this initiative and look forward to distributing more swimwear to support additional projects. Your support can help us continue this important work. Donations directly fund these efforts, helping us reach more communities and make a lasting difference in water safety education
