Congratulations on being selected to serve as a Rotary Club President for 2017-2018. President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) Orientation is designed to help incoming club presidents prepare for their new leadership role by introducing them to resources and tools and preparing them for their Great Lakes PETS experience. During this training seminar we will review some important topics that won’t be covered during the PETS training weekend.
PETS Orientation is a mandatory training event for all District 6380 President-Elects.
A light dinner will be provided.

PETS (President Elect Training Seminar)
This is a Rotary International mandatory training for all presidents prior to serving immediately before your year. Hopefully you will have heard from your current President what a great experience PETS was. Over 400 Rotarians attend this event. Our Rotary District (6380) participates with 6 other districts in Michigan and Indiana to provide you a top-notch training experience. Our multi-district PETS has been recognized for its high quality program.
If you are a President Elect (PE), your club has already been billed and you do not pay a registration fee. However, you still need to fill out the online registration form. The online form is also where hotel reservations are made.
The PETS registration fee covers:
- PETS registration
- Meals
- President's Manual for each President Elect
- Overhead costs of meeting rooms and training expenses
The PETS registration fee does not cover:
- Hotel sleeping rooms
- Meals not on the schedule
- Travel expenses involved with attending PETS
- Valet parking
