Thank You for your Support of the

Anchor Bay Rotary Club Fundraiser

On Friday, April 21, 2017, the new Del Taco Restaurant on
Gratiot, South of 23-Mile Road, partnered with the
Anchor Bay Rotary Club to support our local charities.
We would like to thank all of the members of the public,
and Del Taco Restaurants for partnering with us in this
fund raising activity.

2017 Rotary Scholarships

The deadline for submission of applications for the Anchor Bay Rotary Scholarship Program ended on Friday, April 14, 2017.  Once again, we look forward to being able to award scholarships to graduates of the public schools within our club boundaries.

We made two scholarships available to these graduates:

  • One to a member of the graduating class of Anchor Bay High School, and
  • One to a member of the graduating class of New Haven High School.

All scholarships were awarded on a competitive basis and are not guaranteed.  Applicants are required to provide information that is specified in the application.  It is the responsibility of the recipient to know and meet these requirements to receive the scholarship.

We will be meeting to evaluate the applications and make the awards at the respective districts Honors Convocations when they are scheduled.  CONGRATULATIONS in advance to those that receive the scholarships.  And a Big Thank You to those members of the community and sponsors that helped us with our fund raising activities throughout the year that allows us to award these scholarships.

We anticipate sponsoring the scholarship program again in 2018.  Please check back again after
October 1, 2017 for our 2018 Scholarship Application and announcements.

The  Seventh Annual
Anchor Bay Rotary Fun Run/Walk.

This year, the Anchor Bay Rotary will sponsor a 5K Fun Run on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in conjunction with the Bay Rama Fishfly Festival.  This 5K Fun Run will take the participant through sections of New Baltimore and include Blacktop and trail running.  Computer timing is included.

Registration can most effectively take place by downloading the Race Registration form here and mailing in the form and registration fee.  Otherwise, there will be onsite registration beginning at 7:15am through 8:15am.  The race will start at 8:30am.  Registration and the race start will be in Downtown New Baltimore at the corner of Washington St and Front St.  Advance Registration for the run is $20.00.  Race day registration is $25.00.

Additional information is on the registration form.

Profits from this event are used for various local and international activities of Rotary International.  In addition, our primary goal is to provide a scholarship to a student of the graduating class of Anchor Bay High School and New Haven High School to defray the costs of their education after graduation.  We are always looking for members of the community to help us sponsor this event.  If you would like to help Anchor Bay Rotary as a sponsor of this event, we will be making opportunities available for you advertise your business.  Please download the Sponsor Information and Sponsorship Agreement here.  While we realize time seems short for this agreement, please feel free to contact the sponsorship chairperson with any questions.  We look forward to your support.

If you have any other questions, please contact the club.
