Did you know that our group has a Beds for Kids program? We provide beds to local children in need. We started this program out of need. There are children in and around our community that do not have a bed to sleep in. Something we take for granted. Do you know of any family in need of a bed for their child? Contact us LOSunriseRotary@gmail.com. One of our Rotarians will quickly reply to your request.
Lake Orion Sunrise Rotary members coordinated quickly to respond to immediate needs of Lake Orion boarding house residents who were displace by a fire on Jan. 14. Club members were able to coordinate through text messages and phone calls to propose and approve the purchase of Meijer gift cards for the displaced residents. LO Rotary Club member Bonnie Blais quickly secured and delivered the gift cards to the residents within only a couple hours as they were gathered and being attended to by the American Red Cross at Johnny Black's Lakehouse in downtown Lake Orion.
