JOHN ARCH John Arch has served in health care administration for over 34 years. For the past 27 years, John worked for Boys Town in its health care division where he served as Executive Vice President of Health Care and Director of the National Research Hospital and Clinics. As CEO of the hospitals and clinics, John was responsible for all Boys Town healthcare services including two hospitals in Omaha, outpatient clinics, behavioral health services and research operations. Prior to working at Boys Town, John served as Vice President for Marketing and Business Development at Omaha’s Saint Joseph Center for Mental Health. John has been married to Brenda for 43 years and has two sons (Cameron and Nicholas), two daughters-in-law (Liz and Shannon), and four grandchildren. Brenda has served as a substitute teacher in the Papillion La Vista School District since 2003. John and Brenda have lived in Papillion and La Vista since 1990. |

Lisa Smith Cimino, a 57-year-old mother of four, has spent the majority of her life residing in Omaha. She attended Duchesne Academy for her education. Lisa pursued her undergraduate studies at Loyola University of Chicago in 1987. Later, she obtained a Master's degree in Exercise Science from UNO in 1991 and a Master's degree in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Creighton in 2010. Despite never perceiving herself as an athlete, Lisa began engaging in triathlons in 2003 and has since embraced the sport wholeheartedly. |

In his current role as managing director of championships and alliances, operations, playing rules, and officiating at the NCAA, Anthony Holman is responsible for setting the strategic direction for 30 NCAA Championships, and global oversight for playing rules and officiating of all 90 NCAA Championships. Anthony has been with the NCAA for 13 years, serving his entire tenure with the championships and alliances group. Prior to joining the NCAA, Anthony worked in professional sports for five years, including the NBA. He is the former executive director of the Quad Cities Sports Committee and spent nine years with the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). Anthony has been active in the Olympic movement, serving on the board for both USA Swimming and USA Wrestling. A former basketball student-athlete at Augustana College, Anthony received his bachelor's degree in political science and economics. He has a master's degree in sport management, as well as an MSL and an MBA. Anthony enjoys coaching his kids’ sports teams, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family. |

Camille and Deb have announced the year's first Social/networking event under Larry’s reign. Steve and Pat McCollister along with Bill and Gretchen Harvey are co-hosting a pool party at McCollister’s home for adult members, their spouses, as well as prospective members. The event will be held at the McCollister’s home at 16611 Spring Circle South on Thursday, July 27th, from 5:00 – 8:30 PM. Mark your calendars. Heavy appetizers and snacks will be provided, as well as ice, lemonade, water, and soda. Bring your own alcoholic beverages, a swimming suit, and a towel if you want to take a dip in the pool. Tim Burke is the interim CEO and President of the Greater Omaha Chamber. He retired as CEO of OPPD in 2021 after over 30 years in the natural gas, electric, and utility service industry. His focus on customer service and continuous business improvement has produced 13 straight J.D. Power and Associates awards for #1 Utility in customer satisfaction. Tim is an active participant in the Omaha area community and is a board member or volunteer to over eight national and local non-profits. Tim has seen small businesses become large businesses and seen an ever-changing business environment and led operations to remain successful through those changes. |

HAL DAUB: 4th generation Nebraskan, Married with three children and five grandchildren, 4-term US Congressman, 2-term Mayor, Proud Member of Omaha Downtown Rotary, Eagle Scout, and NU Board of Regents. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Washington University, he continued his education and earned a law degree from the University of Nebraska. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Infantry, where he demonstrated his leadership abilities. Hal's professional career began as a lawyer in Omaha, and later he became the Vice-President and General Counsel of Standard Chemical Manufacturing Company. He then entered politics and was elected to serve four terms in the United States House of Representatives. During his time as a congressman, he was a member of the influential Ways and Means Committee. Following his congressional tenure, Hal ran for the U.S. Senate on two occasions but was not successful. He then became a principal and partner in Deloitte & Touche, an accounting firm. In 1995, he was elected as the Mayor of Omaha, serving two terms. As the mayor, he achieved significant accomplishments, including reducing property taxes and implementing innovative programs for public safety and youth development. Throughout his life, Hal has been actively involved in various civic, charitable, and philanthropic organizations. He has served on numerous boards and held leadership positions in several prominent organizations, including the National Republican Mayors and Local Officials Association. Hal Daub's dedication to public service and his contributions to his community have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. He has been involved in diverse initiatives, including those related to health care, education, and support for veterans. Hal is a family man, with three children and five grandchildren. He has married Mary Mernin, a native of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Overall, Hal Daub's biography reflects a life of service, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact on his community and beyond. |

Lawrence A. Dwyer holds a B.A. Degree in American and British History from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and a Law Degree from Creighton University. He is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association and has been a practicing attorney for 48 years. Larry served on the Board of Directors of the Douglas County Historical Society and became the first President of its Foundation. He was the keynote speaker at the Historical Society's 130th and 140th Anniversary celebrations of the Trial of Standing Bear. He has given countless presentations to various civic organizations for the past decade on the historical significance of Standing Bear. |

Daniel has a Master's degree in Social Sciences from Uppsala University and has more than 10 years of experience in the construction, evaluation and monitoring of public policies in countries such as Colombia, Brazil, Peru and the United States. He is an expert on urban security and has been an advisor on violence prevention strategies to local governments in cities such as Medellin and Sao Paulo. He has extensive knowledge in the process of disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of ex-combatants due to his work during five years as regional coordinator for the Colombian Agency for Reintegration. He graduated from the training program in Human Rights, Peace and Security implemented by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) in Sweden and Cambodia. Daniel joined the Kroc Institute from Notre Dame University in 2019 as security and Human Rights specialist within the International Verification Component of the Colombian Peace Agreement. In 2020 he started to coordinate the political section of the Kroc Institute in Colombia. He also worked as a consultant for Notre Dame university to develop a methodology for monitoring the Peace Agreement at the regional level. |

Rob Simmon is a fellow Rotarian and member of the Glenwood, IA club since early 2009. He’s served in several District 5650 roles since 2015. Rob is presently the Assistant Governor Team Leader, the chairman of the New Club Development Committee, and the coordinator as well as a facilitator for the Visioning Program for District clubs.
Rob’s last NSA assignment was as the representative for the Director, National Security Agency to the Commander, U.S. Strategic Command for seven years - 1999 through 2005. As the NSA Rep to STRATCOM he ensured that the Combatant Command and its components received his Agency’s relevant Intelligence, Information Assurance, and Nuclear Command and Control products and services required to accomplish their missions. Rob served in a variety of earlier technical and leadership positions for the Agency at its Maryland headquarters and at several overseas locations. Rob studied Russian language and culture at the University of Kansas, at Syracuse University, at the Soviet Union’s Leningrad State University, and later as an NSA employee as a student for two years at the U.S. Army’s Russian Institute in Garmisch, Germany. He has also studied Polish, German, and Spanish. Rob and his wife Susan, a retired Registered Nurse, live on her family’s Iowa Century Farm outside Glenwood, Iowa. Their daughter and grandsons live in Castle Rock, Colorado after Air Force assignments in Alaska, Germany, Romania, and in several continental U.S. locations. Their son, a manager for an Omaha technology solutions company, lives with his wife in Council Bluffs, Iowa. |

Kathryn Schubert is Rotary District Governor for 2023-2024. Kathryn was raised in Nebraska. She graduated from Papillion LaVista High School and then went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in 1994 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, with a focus in Commercial Banking and International Finance. Kathryn is a Certified Financial Planner® and a Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch. She started her career in Omaha upon graduation from UNO, and now works in both the Omaha and Lincoln communities. Together with her team, she provides sophisticated financial strategies and solutions for high net worth individuals and families all across America. In February 2022, Kathryn was named to the Forbes “America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-in-State” list. |

Jeremy Bouman is the Founder and CEO of RISE, a Nebraska non-profit with a mission to break generational cycles of incarceration. RISE offers programming in 7 Nebraska prisons focused on intensive character development, employment readiness, reentry planning and entrepreneurship. RISE support continues post-release through case management, family programming, a business incubator and employment placement. RISE is also active in policy and advocacy work in Nebraska's unicameral focused on criminal justice reform. Prior to starting RISE, he served for 7 years as Associate Vice President of Development at Creighton University. Jeremy has 20 years of leadership experience in higher education and non-profit organizations in New York City, Baltimore and Omaha. He earned a BA in Communications from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania and a Masters of Science in Leadership from Creighton University. |

Mr. Kowel joined the FBI as a special agent in 2005 and was assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force in the New York Field Office, where he led criminal and counterterrorism investigations. Mr. Kowel completed deployments to Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2009 in support of the FBI’s counterterrorism mission. He was promoted to supervisory special agent in 2010 and worked in the International Terrorism Operations Section, Counterterrorism Division, at FBI Headquarters in Washington. In 2013, Mr. Kowel was named the supervisory senior resident agent leading the Savannah and Brunswick resident agencies in Georgia. He oversaw FBI criminal and counterterrorism investigations and led several task forces. Mr. Kowel was promoted in 2016 as an assistant special agent in charge in the Los Angeles Field Office. He led 10 squads investigating violent gangs, transnational organized crime, violent crime, and crimes against children. In 2019 he moved back to FBI Headquarters as the chief of staff and section chief in the Intelligence Branch. In October of September of 2020 Director Wray named Mr. Kowel as the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Omaha Field Office. Mr. Kowel graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Political and Social Thought and earned his law degree from New York University School of Law. Mr. Kowel served as an assistant district attorney in New York City before joining the FBI. |
