The Nebraska Humane Society
Nov 06, 2019
Sgt. Mark Langan relives his front-row seat working the seamier side of crime during his decorated twenty-six year career with the Omaha Police Department.
His book, Busting Bad Guys, delivers a graphic and authentic look at solid policing on the streets of America’s heartland and takes the readers inside high-adrenaline, top secret investigations while trying to outsmart the criminals.
Mark was awarded the department's two highest honors....the Distinguished Service Medal and the Medal of Valor. During his career Mark infiltrated high-level narcotics operations while posing as both a drug user and a drug dealer, and also supervised hundreds of high-risk investigations.
Mark is now Vice-President of Field Operations for the Nebraska Humane Society and supervises the investigations of crimes against animals.
Mark is proud to continue his support of law enforcement by serving on the board of directors of the First Responders Foundation and Omaha Crimestoppers.
Busting Bad Guys was published in 2014. Since then Mark has done speaking and media appearances in Seattle, Boston, Minneapolis, Montreal, Phoenix, and Baltimore, as well as his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.
Mark's book, Busting Bad Guys, is an Amazon Best Seller and recently won a bronze medal for best true crime book of the year by the Independent Publisher Book Awards
In 2016 PoliceOne.com named Busting Bad Guys as one of fifteen must read books for police officers |
