Rotary Central's Home Page Stories
The Honourable Deputy Premier of the Cayman Islands, Mr. Christopher Saunders having been invited to address Rotary Central Cayman Islands by its Community Service Director Patrick Schmid in connection with the Rotary International theme for October, 2021 of "Community and Economic Development," addressed the issues of strengthening and diversifying the economy as well as the issue of 're-opening' in a world living with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Working with the Ministry for Home Affairs, the Department for Community Rehabilitation and Her Majesty's Cayman Islands Prison service, Rotary Central is trying to help hard-working individuals who are re-entering society in our various communities to do so as smoothly as possible, with as much education, job preparation and support to continue to develop the self esteem to truly become a part of the wider community again, adding benefit to themselves and the wider community by again becoming contributing citizens.
Continuing our involvement in and commitment to the excellent work being done by Ms. Jackie Neal and the Loud, Silent, Voices Organisation we hope to continue to make an exponentially increasing difference in the provision of care and assistance to the mentally challenged in our community.

Director of Community Service, Rotarian Colin shared these pictures of the painting under way at the T.E. McField Centre. Looking good!

In 2006 Rotary Central hosted the first annual science fair which was geared towards promoting and raising awareness of scientific achievements among our young people. Since then, the Science Fair has been a fantastic success and continues to build on its solid foundations with over 60 entries and close to 90 students participating in the April 2014 fair. The projects have been quite remarkable with entries submitted in the field of biology, weather science, physics and chemistry. Over CI$ 30,000 in cash and prizes were awarded at the 2014 fair across five categories.

Rotary Central is excited to host the 9th Annual Science Fair on Saturday April 25th 2015 at the ARC facility in Camana Bay, made possible by the generous support of DART.

With over 80 members in our Club, ranging across various sectors of the community, we invite visiting Rotarians to join us on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 PM at Grand Old House Restaurant and let us "Light Up Rotary!" together.
