Larry is the president of the Scarborough Community Renewal Organization, “SCRO” for short, an all-volunteer organization of passionate Scarborough residents that strives to connect, promote and renew Scarborough. SCRO was formed in 2016 following an extensive community consultation initiative in 2014 led by Scarborough’s Rotary clubs. Larry has been part of SCRO since 2018 and has been president since 2020. Professionally, Larry worked at the TD Bank for ten years, mostly in commercial banking. He then served for 25 years as the VP Finance of WoodGreen Community Services, one of Toronto’s largest social service agencies. Since 2018, Larry has worked at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus as an Assistant Director in the Finance office. Larry is also a 23 year member of Rotary and is the Treasurer of Rotary District 7070. Larry is also a board member of Home Ownership Alternatives, which finances not-for-profit condo developments in the GTA. Larry is a former president of West Rouge Community Association and continues to serve on the board as membership director. Larry also served in governance at U of T from 2014-2018, chairing the Campus Affairs Committee at the Scarborough campus before becoming a staff member. Professionally, Larry is a CPA and holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. |

Mark Wells is a multifaceted individual with a tapestry of experiences spanning the realms of music and business. Graduating with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Toronto, Mark further honed his skills through post-graduate work at the Manhattan School of Music under the guidance of Ani Kavafian. His musical journey led him to perform with prestigious orchestras such as the Toronto Symphony, the Canadian Opera Company, and the National Ballet, among others. Additionally, Mark served as String Department Chairman at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of musicians. Alongside his musical pursuits, Mark immersed himself in the world of business, working alongside his father in the family business. Currently, Mark holds the position of Vice President of Marketing at the Briton House Retirement Centre and is a key part of the Briton House ownership structure alongside his siblings John Wells and Margaret Smith. Despite his shift towards business leadership, Mark's love for music remains steadfast, enriching his life both personally and professionally |

Ken Greenberg is an urban designer, teacher, writer, former Director of Urban Design and Architecture for the City of Toronto and Principal of Greenberg Consultants. For over four decades Ken has played a pivotal role on public and private assignments in urban settings throughout North America and Europe, focusing on the rejuvenation of downtowns, waterfronts, neighborhoods and on campus master planning, regional growth management, and new community planning. His work sits at the intersection of urban design, architecture, landscape, mobility, social and economic development. Cities as diverse as Toronto, Hartford, Amsterdam, New York, Boston, Montréal, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary, St. Louis, Washington DC, Paris, Detroit, Saint Paul and San Juan Puerto Rico have benefited from his advocacy and passion for restoring the vitality, relevance and sustainability of the public realm in urban life. In each city, with each project, his strategic, consensus-building approach has led to coordinated planning and a renewed focus on urban design. Ken is the recipient of the 2010 American Institute of Architects Thomas Jefferson Award for Public Design Excellence and the 2014 Sustainable Buildings Canada Lifetime Achievement Award. He was selected as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2020 and was awarded a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa from the University of Toronto. In 2023 he was appointed as Vice Chair, Advisory Committee on Planning, Design and Reality, (ACPDR), National Capital Commission, Ottawa. |
