Rotary will be hosting our annual pre-parade tradition Pancake Feed Breakfast on Monday, September 1, 2025. The pancake feed will be held from 7 AM to 10 AM at the dirt lot next to the library (553 S. Maine Street, Fallon, NV 89406). The cost of $10 for adults and children 12 and under are free- courtesy from the City of Fallon. 

Rotary Club of Fallon's Crustaceans on the Carson will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 beginning at 6:00 PM at the Sanford residence. The tickets are $40 a person and bring a pot luck dish. There is limited availability of seating and the number of lobsters/crab legs.   

Fallon Rotary Club hopes you can join us on Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Pennington Life Center on 952 S. Maine Street starting at 5:00 pm. Doors open at 5:00 pm and Bingo play starts at 6:00 pm. $20 Buy-in includes pack of 5 games of 3 Bingo cards and a Dauber. Additional game packs at $10 each and a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will go to benefit local youth scholarships and youth leadership programs. 

 

Rotarians, friends of Rotary, and family members- mark your calendars for our Ugly Sweater Christmas Party! It will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Stockman's Steakhouse starting at 6:00 pm. The cost is $35 a person and includes 1 drink, prime rib dinner and turkey carving station, and a dessert. RSVP to Chelsea at 702.279.0809 by December 3, 2024. 
We will have a parade of ugly sweaters and we will see if we can top last year's masterpieces!

 

Thank you to everyone to donated and assisted in organizing the piles of donations for Fallon's homebound seniors. The items are donated to our local seniors in need and it is much appreciated! 

Rotary is volunteering at the No Hill Hundred Century Road Bike Tour on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The Rotary club was assigned the lunch stop at the Church of Christ parking lot, on the Corner of Drumm Lane & HWY 95 Schurz Highway. 
 

Congratulations to the two (2) new Rotary members of the Fallon Rotary Club! Michelle Anderson is the owner/managing member of Redeeming Revenue- a local accountant and bookkeeping business. Nina Mann is retired from Alaska, previously been in Rotary, and enjoys cooking and knitting. She is already a Paul Harris +6 Fellow! We are looking forward to a bright future together!

Thank you to everyone who helped at Rotarians at Work Day 2024! Boy Scouts Troop 1776 joined in on the fun and assisted in the clean up project. The park clean up project also included building a new BBQ area and park bench. This type of project has a huge impact on our community- a clean park for kids to play and enjoy for the summer with no sticker bushes! The City of Fallon projected the materials for the project and all the tools. Rotary and the Boy Scouts provided the elbow grease!

Rotary volunteered at the No Hill Hundred Century Road Bike Tour on Saturday, October 1st from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The Rotary club was assigned stop #3 at the Church of Christ parking lot, on the Corner of Drumm Lane & HWY 95 Schurz Highway. This stop was the lunch stop for the 60-mile riders and a break stop for the remaining riders.

The Rotary Club of Fallon's golf tournament was held last Saturday, June 25th.  It was a huge success!  The day started out being overcast, but by the afternoon, it turned out to be such a beautiful day.  We had amazing raffle prizes and 17 teams come out and pay a round of golf.  Congratulations to winning teams and the raffle prize winners.  A special thank you to the Event Sponsors, the Hole Sponsors, and everyone who donated a raffle item. 

 

Thank you so much for everyone who attended Rotary's end of the year celebration! We had a blast, raised some money, and showed our appreciation to Priscilla. 
President Baker was put on trial for the accusation of completing a successful presidential term. The Honorable Stu, inquisitor Zip, and defender Lane all put up a might fight- however, Priscilla was ultimately found guilty of all charges. This included the serious infraction of losing the bell! 
Donna and Glenn were gracious host who opened their beautiful patio for the event and served some delicious shrimp, steak, deviled eggs, stuffed mushrooms, cheesy potatoes, and salad. Wendell’s mom- Fred- also treated Rotary to some decadent brownies and a mixed fruit dessert. 
Rotary also held its first horse race competition at the party! Stu, Priscilla, Carol, Nancy, John, and Steve all sponsored horses for the race! The horses' names ranged from Donut Eater, Rapunzel, Cinderella, to '2 dudes with a horse get up'. Nancy's horse was the winner, and she took home over $700 in prize money. 
Thank you, Rotary, for being an amazing group of people. We are looking forward to another fantastic year of fun and doing positive things for our community and world.

Congratulations to Shane Tanner, base commander of NAS Fallon, on becoming the newest member of the Fallon Rotary Club. 

Cailin Menius-Rash, accepted to Oregon State University in both science and video production,  our own Kyla Trotter, who will be proudly attending the University of Nevada at Reno, pursuing computer science as a major, James Cosman, who will be taking a double major in biotechnology in Texas, and our own Chloe Tanner, who will be happily attending Texas A & M University.  She has decided on business as a major.  Miss Tanner has studied in many DOD schools around the world, and is our soon-to-be newest member's daughter.  We welcome our military connected families from around the world, and are humbled to hear their stories of bravery and sacrifice.   We stand with them, and by them.
These amazing young people stand with Steve Endacott, a long time Fallon Rotary Club member.  "Endo" chaired the subcommittee to oversee the 17 essays submitted by our Churchill County High School and Oasis Academy seniors.  The Fallon Rotary Club traditionally awards each student a $1,000 college scholarship, based on grades, standardized test scores, volunteer service and much more. 
 The club thanks members Jeff Jorgenson, former manager of The Stockman's Casino, Zip Upham, a public relations manager at the Navy base, and of course, the students'  public school teachers and counselors.  It was a joyful event, and the club celebrates our local youth as May is Rotary Youth Month.

Please bring items for our local homebound Seniors to Kent's by December 14th or at our Holiday Party.  

 

Rotary will be hosting the Rotary Club of Fallon's 15th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 5th at 9 AM at the Fallon Golf Course 

$50 for Members and $80 for Non-Members 

Entry fee includes green fee, cart, breakfast, and lunch

Rotary Club of Fallon will be conducting its Annual Christmas Drive for Local Homebound Seniors.  We will be collecting needed items for local seniors who are in need and every year the senior center is grateful for the donations.  Please bring donations to Kent's Supply Center at 260 N. Maine Street or bring the items to the Christmas Party on December 8th, 6:00 PM, at The Grid. 

 

Rotary's 33rd Annual Crab Feed was a fun and safe event that reminded us of the love of Rotary and merriment with fellow Rotarians.  This year it was hosted at the Twisted Branch and included a full catered menu of snow crab, chicken alfredo, salad, bread, and side dishes. We also celebrated Stu's birthday at the event!

Fallon Rotary held its annual Zombie 5k - this year it was out at the nature preserve by NAS Fallon.

Fallon Rotary is teaming up with PEO Chapter D and Western Nevada Community College to present an educational seminar to prospective college students and their parents/guardians on how to navigate the college application process.

If you, a family member, a co-worker or anyone else you know has a student in grades 8 to 12, this seminar could be quite beneficial!

 

 

Alan Kalt, Churchill County Comptroller, updates Fallon Rotary on the status of the new Senior Center being built on Maine Street.

 

Brian Roberts of Fernley will give us an overview of the Iron Butt Association, which is America's long distance motorcycle organization.  From weekend jaunts to truly epic endurance runs, this group sponsors and tracks some unique events.

Join Rotary for the 10th Annual Golf Tournament at the Fallon Golf Course.  Proceeds from this event will help support Relay for Life and Rotary Club of Fallon's Community Service Projects Fund.

Several Members of Fallon Rotary Attended the 2016 Leadership Conference in Reno. They had a great time joining with fellow Rotary clubs to learn about better ways to serve humanity.

Fallon Rotary raised funds from the home run derby to help CC High School purchase a much-needed new scoreboard.  The team received the rotary contribution at the regular Tuesday lunch meeting - 12:10 at the Fallon Convention Center.

President Ron presents a $4000 check from funds through a Rotary District matching grant to purchase new windows to complete the refurbishment of the Oats Park Art Center to Valerie Serpa, Executive Director of the Churchill Arts Council.

On November 1st, 2015, the Rotary Club of Fallon hosted the Area 10 Rotary International Foundation Dinner at the Fallon Convention Center.  The theme for the evening was "Redneck Luau" with John Tyson as the guest speaker.

Please join us at our Annual Rotary Foundation Dinner which this year will also be our District 5190 Area 10 Foundation Dinner which includes the Rotary Clubs of Fernley, Smith Valley, Tonopah and Yerington. Our guest speaker will be John Tyson who will speak on Nevada's 150th statehood celebration, and the MC is our own Zip Upham. The Theme is the "Redneck Luau Revisited" and attendees are encouraged to come in their finest "Redneck" attire. The dinner is a BBQ Tri-tip and Chicken dinner catered by the Greeenwave Quarterback Club. Below is a flyer with more details.

The Fallon Rotary Club held a Christmas Party on December 17th. The focus of the party was to collect needed items for home bound senior citizens and provide gift packages to each. Rotary teamed with the Churchill Senior Center Staff, who packaged up and delivered the gift packages to approximately 160 home bound seniors. It was such a great success that our Club will continue this event this next Christmas.
