During this season of Thanksgiving, I have been thinking about how grateful I am for Rotary and all of my fellow Rotarians. Thank you for welcoming me into your club meetings - I have been received warmly and treated royally. I am humbled by the sheer number of service projects that District 5950 Rotary clubs are involved in, and the huge impact these projects are having in our local and global communities. Thank you for your hospitality, generosity and kind spirits. My life has been enriched by each and every one of you.

Shakopee Rotarian William (Bill) Nevin was recently honored as a 2023 inductee into the Shakopee Alumni Association’s Distinguished Hall of Fame. This award honors individuals who have demonstrated excellence in personal achievements and their careers, combined with significant or sustained contributions to their community.

We will be moving this Partnership Model into the North Minneapolis area soon!
From October 25 through November 30, Global Travelers E-club participated in an environmental service project demonstrating than even seemingly small acts can make a big difference. Serving our communities together...individually. Rotarians were intentional about picking up trash in their communities no matter where they lived. For each Global Traveler member who submitted a photo an anonymous donor gave $10 up to $1000 to the Club's foundation.

Year of Service Challenge – Read to Succeed!
What is Read to Succeed?
Each Rotary/Rotaract club in District 5950 is invited to find a partner organization who would benefit from receiving books or book services. The partner can be ANY organization – a school, charity, senior center, etc. – local or global. Each club chooses where to focus their project.
Anytime from now until the end of January – your club can join the challenge. Once you decide where your books are going you can determine the type of books and how you will collect them – bringing books to a meeting, designating money to purchase books or making an online wish list are all options. Let’s see how many books can be collected in our district by the end of January! There will be club and individual prizes awarded so don’t miss out on the fun!
