Service Project - Good Fences and Good Neighbors
Nov. 08, 2026 8:00 a.m.

Come join us as we help our fellow Rotarian Jen mend her actual fence with her neighbor!

We will have the supplies, we just need a few extra hands to help with the actual take-down and reinstall of the fence boards.

Right now, we need about 3-4 more people to get started, but more hands will be nice! Refreshments and fellowship included!

At Coflux, we’ve developed a breakthrough technology that not only captures but also destroys PFAS at the source.

We’re empowering large manufacturers to clean their wastewater, preventing PFAS contamination and delivering safer, cleaner water to communities everywhere.

About our speaker:
Dr. Jeremy Daum recieved his PhD from Rice University, with research focusing on exploring scalable production methods for nanomaterials for applications including batteries, semiconductors, and water purification. Skyliners, are you looking for a service opportunity before Thanksgiving? Drop in anytime on Wednesday at St. Paul's for Operation Turkey's Midtown Turkey Tailgate!

Be a volunteer helping to feed more than 14,000 people in need this Thanksgiving Holiday.

You don't have to cook, they need people of all ages and skills to help make it happen. This is a come-and-go-as-you-can kind of event as well, so don't fret if you're not there at 7 A.M. sharp!

Midtown Houston Turkey Tailgate

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 5501 Main St, Houston, TX 77004, USA

This is the event where we smoke turkeys and make preparations for the meals served on Thanksgiving Day. We will also be accepting donations for care packages during this time. Make sure you are registered to volunteer so you receive our informational emails when details of the event are available.

Speaker - Cameron Carlin His Grace Foundation
Dec. 01, 2026 6:00 p.m.

Join us for our December presentation, with Cameron Carlin from His Grace Foundation.

His Grace Foundation provides physical, emotional and financial support to the patients and families of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU) at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH).

In a single year, His Grace Foundation serves over 150 in-patient children receiving a BMT and hundreds more visiting the out-patient clinic. Often described as the ‘last hope for a cure’, BMT patients suffer from life-threatening diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, SCIDS, sickle cell disease, rare blood disorders, brain tumors and other types of cancer.

Patients served by TCH often live in the Greater Houston area, though many travel from other cities, states, and even countries, leaving behind their local support systems and entering a 6-8 week period of isolation.

Texas Children’s Hospital’s state-of-the-art and award winning Bone Marrow Transplant Unit houses 25 beds across two floors in their Main Campus complex.

Cameron brings more than a decade of experience leading fundraising, community engagement, and program development across nonprofits and professional sports. Most recently at Texas Children's Hospital, he oversaw a community fundraising portfolio generating more than $5.3 million, managing 100+ events and stewarding relationships with individuals, schools and businesses. Before that, he held community relations roles with the Houston Dynamo FC and the San Antonio Spurs, designing programs that reached thousands of children and families. He combines relationship driven fundraising with data-informed strategy and a genuine passion for connecting people to causes that matter. This work is also personal. Cameron knows firsthand what it means to watch a family member endure a long, difficult hospital stay fighting a serious illness. The physical, financial, and emotional exhaustion, along with the isolating feeling of life moving on outside those walls plays a huge toll on every member of the family. That understanding is what drew Cameron to His Grace Foundation, and what drives him every day to show up for the families we serve.
