DEI Initiative in RotaryNEW ROTARY INTERNATIONAL DEI STATEMENT Posted by Alexander Falk on Aug 31, 2021 Rotary International has recently updated Rotary's Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with this new DEI statement that was just released this summer: At Rotary, we understand that cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture is essential to realizing our vision of a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change. We value diversity and celebrate the contributions of people of all backgrounds, across age, ethnicity, race, color, disability, learning style, religion, faith, socioeconomic status, culture, marital status, languages spoken, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity as well as differences in ideas, thoughts, values, and beliefs. Recognizing that individuals from certain groups have historically experienced barriers to membership, participation, and leadership, we commit to advancing equity in all aspects of Rotary, including in our community partnerships, so that each person has the necessary access to resources, opportunities, networks, and support to thrive. We believe that all people hold visible and invisible qualities that inherently make them unique, and we strive to create an inclusive culture where each person knows they are valued and belong. In line with our value of integrity, we are committed to being honest and transparent about where we are in our DEI journey as an organization, and to continuing to learn and do better. For more information about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in our district, please see our Rotary District 7930 DEI page on this website. |

You will get the satisfaction you have helped someone have a better day. The challenge is there: Try to do a daily act of kindness. Remember our motto: "Service Above Self". |

Gathering of the Jack O Lanterns CancelledDue to the current state of the pandemic, and our optimistic thoughts to work to move forward to plan a safe event with extensive safety protocols in place, we have come to realize that given the current state of the pandemic in our region, we can not safely move forward with a large in person, public event that is the Gathering of Jack O’Lanterns on October 24t In terms of the event itself, we are going to use this page to turn this into a virtual event. We invite you to please take a picture of your own carved pumpkins and share it on the “Gathering of Jack O’Lanterns” Facebook Event page, as we pivot to a safe, virtual event. Feel free to use the hashtag: #
