The Littleton Rotary Club's 45th annual LobsterFest will take place this year on Saturday, October 21st at the Bretton Woods Base Lodge/Slope Side from 5:00 to 7:30 PM.  As in the past, funds raised at this popular event will be distributed to support local charities and Rotary projects.

"Our LobsterFest is a great opportunity to enjoy delicious food and at the same time support our local non-profit organizations," said event co-chair Amanda Simino.    "We are pleased that many folks return year after year to feast on fine informal dining in a beautiful setting to mark the end of our foliage season."

Attendees at this year's LobsterFest will have the choice of lobster or steak.  The menu will also include shrimp cocktail, clam chowder, cole slaw, baked potato and dessert.

Participants will also have an opportunity to bid in a silent auction on baskets containing a large selection of choice items donated by members of the club and local businesses.

LobsterFest tickets can be obtained from any member of Littleton Rotary or by calling (603) 527-6737.  Tickets are also available at Bank of New Hampshire, Littleton Food Coop, Mascoma Savings Bank, Passumpsic Savings Bank, and Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank.

Each year, local businesses choose to become sponsors of Littleton Rotary's LobsterFest.  Those interested in sponsoring this year's LobsterFest should contact co-chair Tonya St. Cyr at (603) 444-5333.

Because LobsterFest is largely the result of significant volunteer effort by club members and others, most of the proceeds from the sale of the $35 tickets goes to benefit local charities.  Last year's LobsterFest raised over $12,500 for local charitable organizations.  In the past ten years, LobsterFest has made it possible for Littleton Rotary to contribute more than $100,000 to needy local charities.

"We invite local residents who have not yet attended one of our LobsterFests to join us this year," said St. Cyr.  "It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fine dining informally in a lovely setting - and all for a very good cause."

The Littleton Rotary Club and its members provide service to the community through support of programs for youth, scholarships, and other critical issues that impact local communities, as well as Rotary international programs throughout the world.  Club members volunteer many hours each year personally participating in many local projects.  More information about Littleton Rotary and possible membership can be found at its website www.littletonnhrotary.org, on Facebook, or by contacting any member of the club.
