Stories
President's Pen

This morning (Friday) John W. , Bruce, Dr Phil and myself met Bob

the Stratco driver at 8am. and unloaded all the pieces of the Heritage

Traditional Gable Veranda off his truck.

Everything is now safely stored at the rear of the Catherine House

property in readiness for our first working bee over the weekend of

7/8th. July. Luckily we currently have 7 Rotarians ( incl. Vince B. )

who have volunteered and 8 Rotaractors. It is planned to have a

second working over the 14/15th. July concentrating on landscaping

the back garden.

Di has sent out an email asking for volunteers for our next BBQ. at

Bunnings at MileEnd on Monday 16th. July.

I have also sent out a reminder that we will not be meeting on

Thursday 12th. July as The RYLA. Celebration Evening is on the night

before, Wed. 11th. July and everyone is welcome.

I can now confirm our Royal Coach meeting details and some small

changes which will commence on Thursday 2nd. August.

The members cost will be $25.00 for a full breakfast and $8.00 for

members choosing to just have coffee or tea.  The minimum

attendance number will be set at ten which our club must strive to

achieve. In future the Board Room will be set for 14 settings instead

of 16 and the tea/coffee station will remain in place.

In future we will be required to give six weeks’ notice of a breakfast

meeting cancellation.

The Four Way Test

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

Affirmation

United in the spirit of Service we value truth, fairness and friendship; and we welcome the opportunity that Rotary gives us to contribute our talents and resources in support of others.

Rotary Club of Adelaide Light Mission Statement

To be recognised as the Service Club of Choice in the Eastern Precinct of Adelaide because we are a Friendly Breakfast Club that appeals to a broad range of busy people who want to make a difference to local and international communities.

Jokes Corner
We all get heavier as we get older, because there's a lot more information in our heads.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
