I have just helped with today's Bread Run and it was great to catch up with David Riggall (who left Womad to assist and was then returning) and David & Betty Rowe. Our club organizes a roster of members to  collect unsold bread from Bakers Delight in North Adelaide who donate it and allow us to be able to supply Ronald McDonald House, Catherine House and the Adelaide Day Centre ( Moore St. ) every Sunday evening.

Our meeting last Thursday was the final one at the Royal Coach and finished on a high note with the two students from Marryatville High School addressing our meeting, who we assisted financially to allow them to attend the Annual National Youth Science Forum in both Canberra and Brisbane. Once again, the students highlighted its success and confirmed that our club is spending our funds wisely in sponsoring them to attend such an event.

I visited Don and Ellen Tindale for afternoon tea on Thursday and I am glad to report that Don is reporting improvement.

Monday 11th. March marks the beginning of World Rotaract Week.

This Thursday is a coffee conversation at 9.30am. at the Stables in Victoria Park and everyone is welcome.

Our next meeting is on Thursday 21st. March at the Ibis Hotel in Grenfell St. at 7am. for 7.15am.

The Four Way Test

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

United in the spirit of Service we value truth, fairness and friendship; and we welcome the opportunity that Rotary gives us to contribute our talents and resources in support of others.

Rotary Club of Adelaide Light Mission Statement

To be recognised as the Service Club of Choice in the Eastern Precinct of Adelaide because we are a Friendly Breakfast Club that appeals to a broad range of busy people who want to make a difference to local and international communities.
