Water/Sanitation/Hygiene Projects inTimor Leste and Fiji

Joe migrated to Australia from Holland in 1957 and his background is Electrical/Mechanical engineering, spending most his working life in the Lift and Escalator business in Australia Europe and China He is married to Rita and has three kids and 8 grand children Both Joe and Rita where awarded the OAM in 2015 for volunteering and community work on international rotary projects mainly Fiji-PNG-Vanuatu.

Joe's talk will be a quick overview of Fiji project but the main interest is now on the Timor Leste Water/Sanitation/Hygiene Project to explain how the need was discovered and the plan towards improving living and hygiene standards in a village called IRA ONU some 5 hours drive from DILI in the district of Com.
