Studying the French Revolution in the Era of the Gilet Jaunes

Alanna is a member of the Adelaide CIty Rotaract Club and an undergraduate student at the University of Adelaide. She has recentlycompleted an elective term at the Universite Grenoble-Alpes, France: living there in the second half of 2018, Alanna was present for the start of the Gilets Jaunes (or Yellow Vests) movement. At the same time, she was finishing up a semester of studying the French Revolution. She will try to explain some of the patterns and similarities between the Revolution of the 1700s and the political movement of today.
