Pat Bond, a dedicated and influential member of Rotary District 5050, passed away on May 12, 2025. Her three decades of service within Rotary were marked by extraordinary leadership, unwavering commitment, and a genuine spirit of community. Pat's Rotary journey began on April 11, 1995, when she joined the newly chartered Rotary Club of Cloverdale. Over the years, she held key leadership roles that showcased her dedication and organizational expertise. Pat served as Club President three times (1996–97, 1998–99, and 2006–07), and also contributed as Club Secretary (2003–2005, 2009–2010), Club Treasurer (2009–2010), and Club Foundation Chair (2012–2013). Her influence extended beyond the club as she took on district responsibilities, serving as Assistant Governor for Area E from 2012 to 2015. In 2013, Pat transitioned to the North Delta Rotary Club, where she continued to exemplify service above self. During her time there, she acted as Club Secretary (2018–2019) and Club Foundation Chair (2017–2018). Her journey came full circle when she rejoined North Delta in 2022 after a three-year tenure with the Pacific Northwest Passport Club. Pat's leadership was not limited to Club roles. At the District level, she served as District Executive Secretary from 2016 to 2025, a testament to her organizational skills and deep commitment to Rotary's mission. In the 2023–2024 Rotary year, she also took on the role of District Treasurer, ensuring strong financial stewardship for District 5050. Her contributions extended to mentorship as well. Pat served as a Rotaract Advisor for the Surrey Rotaract Club from 2014 to 2015, nurturing young leaders and encouraging community involvement. Throughout her 30 years with Rotary, Pat demonstrated exceptional commitment and leadership. Her multiple terms as Club President, her significant roles at the district level, and her mentorship of emerging leaders have left an indelible mark on Rotary District 5050. Pat's passion for service was evident not only in her formal roles but also in the countless hours she devoted to organizing events, mentoring new members, and championing Rotary's mission. Pat Bond's legacy of service and leadership will continue to inspire Rotarians and community members alike. Her memory serves as a reminder of the profound impact one dedicated individual can have in the world.
