It's that time of year that we have a little fun outdoors and play some golf! For years, we have hosted the golf tounament in honor of our beloved Dick Post. You don't need to be a Pro to play in this best ball scramble. Even if you have never played before, we welcome you! Sign up a team or by yourself, it doesn't matter - we'll put you to a team! We need 60 people to sign up to fulfill our commitment to Gleneagle - please feel free to invite friends and sign them up with you! The more the merrier! We tee off at 11:00 am sharp with a shotgun start. Everyone needs to be on the course and have paid their registration fee by 10:30 so we are ready to go at 11:00. The cost is $46 per person, which is paid directly to Gleneagle Golf Course. Food and drinks? We've asked the drink cart staff to stock up on food and beverages, of course this doesn't need to stop you from packing your own! Trophies? Yep, we have those too! Men and Women's for each category: Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Best Score, and other fun little awards along the way! We will have an after event celebration for awards at the clubhouse. A separate event invitation will go out for the dinner party.

There are several opportunities for our Club to participate in a global grant project, and I am reaching out to you because you expressed interest in doing good things with Rotarians in other countries. We have several opportunities to consider: Haiti with the Rotary of Leogane, Bungoma with Rotary Club of Bungoma, Honduras with the IPA group in Anacortes (coalition of Rotaries who do global grants), Guatamala (with Marysville Rotary), and another opportunity with a Canadian Club in Ontario who is also doing things in Guatamala. I can put together details and status of all these opportunities and would like to know your thoughts and ideas about which direction to take. We are excited to start this new event called Who's Coming to Dinner. This event will provide us an atmosphere that will let us get to know a few members and spouses a little better. How it works is we have Hosts and we have guests, you sign up to host and have folks come to your house or sign up as a guest to go to someone else’s house. Hosts will provide the main course and all the guest will bring a side dish/dessert and beverage (wine, beer etc.) If you sign up to host tell me how many GUESTS you can host, make sure to leave seats for yourself and spouse. All registrations need to be in by January 10th 2020.so we can assign homes. You will hear from us on January 13th to tell you what you need to bring (side dish) to the house you'll be visiting, and I will reach out again on the 17th to tell you the address of where you are going (make sure I have a good email or number to contact you). No one knows ahead of time who is going where so it's a total surprise for everyone. Hosts, it would be fun to have some sort of questions game to break the ice and get folks chatting, if you need some ideas please reach out to me. One other piece of information I would like to share, on April 18th The NOAH Center will host the Laugh Your Tail Off event, Rotary has had 3-4 tables in the past, TODAY ONLY tickets are $100 per person this is a savings of $25 off each ticket. It includes dinner, comedy show, auction and dessert. Here is a link to purchase tickets: https://www.thenoahcenter.org/news-events/laugh-your-tail-off.html
