Our Second City event this year raised a club record $153,000!!!
Many thanks to all involved that helped make this another successful fundraiser for Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club! This level of success would not have been possible without the community support from our sponsors, volunteers, ticket holders, and raffle donors. Special thanks goes out to The Second City, Libertyville Community High School, Austin's Saloon & Eatery, and our Title Sponsor - City of Hope Cancer Center.
Special shout out to Howard Jaffe for his steadfast dedication and countless hours spent leading the charge towards making this event happen!
Since it's inception in 1987, the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club has given over $2.6 million to both local and international charities, including programs to promote literacy, programs to combat hunger, support the eradication of polio, as well as support to numerous local charities, food pantries, and scholarship programs.
The club is always encouraging more individuals to become involved. Anyone wishing to find out more about the club is encouraged to attend one of the club's weekly meetings on Wednesday mornings at Lamb's Farm at the Marigold Cafe, or call Club Membership Chair Doug Fendon at 513-289-3244.
For 15 years, Libertyville Sunrise Rotary has donated Christmas dinners to the Libertyville Township Food Pantry. This year we donated 48 meals, and the Township distributed the boxed dinners and bags of food to our neighbors in need.
Special thanks goes out to: Jeff Harger, Justin Harger, and Scott Hezner for organizing and facilitating this service project!
Interested in helping? Volunteer workers are welcome! The Food Pantry accepts donations Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Thanks to all the grant recipients that joined us in August this year to receive grants and to speak about the difference they are making in our local community! We were all inspired by their stories of local people who've been helped, and our Club is proud to support their meaningful work.
The total grants given by Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club to local charitable organizations in August 2023 was $115,500. In addition, we awarded $10,000 in local scholarships and $3,000 in international aid.

Another successful Rotary year for Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club celebrated with food, fun and fellowship!
Past President Elliot Pinsel passed the gavel to our new club President Rich Babjak and, as tradition dictates, Rich returned the favor by giving Elliot the boot! We are so appreciative of Elliot's and the Board's past leadership and look forward to the new year!
Our sincere thanks and congratulations to Howard Jaffe, Rotarian of the Year, for his outstanding service and commitment to the club!
Big thanks to Tom Zengeler and his family for generously hosting us (again) at their lovely home!
