The Cause

Our Annual Car Raffle event is our flagship fundraiser. Last year, we sold over 5000 tickets to people across the Cayman Islands. We are proud to have been able to raise over $50,000 which is being used to support and facilitate community service projects, both locally and internationally, this year. The Car

This year, our Grand Prize will be a 2025 Audi Q3 in Navarra Blue Metallic, which features a standard 201-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive, and includes:
  • 3 year new vehicle licensing
  • Warranty period of 5 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes first and you will be entitled to 5 years free service and maintenance during the warranty period.
The retail value of this vehicle is CI$54,750.00!

Rotary Club of Grand Cayman-Sunrise, NPO #324 ("we") is committed to protecting the privacy of any personal information you share with us or that we access through your participation in the Annual Car Raffle. Transparency and respect are our guiding principles, and we will always ensure clarity about how, when, and why we collect and process your information. Rest assured, we will never use your data in a way that is unexpected or contrary to your expectations.

  1. When You Fill Out a Raffle Ticket:
    By providing your contact details on the ticket stub, you are sharing your personal data, which we responsibly manage at all times.

  2. Online Purchases:
    If you buy tickets via ticketplus.ky, you authorize us to access your personal data through that platform.

 

What Information We Collect and Why:

We only collect the necessary information to facilitate your participation in the raffle and related activities. Typically, we collect:

  • Name

  • Contact Details (e.g., phone number and email address)

 

Your information is used for:

  • Notifying winners and awarding prizes.

  • Sharing organizational updates related to the raffle.

  • Publishing winner details (name and image) on social media and in publications like the Cayman Compass.

  • Maintaining a record of winners and prizes awarded.

We will never collect sensitive data as defined under the Data Protection Act.

 

Protecting Your Information:

We implement robust physical and technical safeguards to secure your information. Non-winning ticket data is destroyed securely within one month after the raffle concludes. Winner details (excluding contact information) may be retained for up to six months after prize distribution.

Access Control:
Only authorized Rotary Sunrise members involved in raffle operations can access your data. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will promptly inform affected individuals and report the incident to relevant authorities within 72 hours.

 

Your Data Rights:

You have the right to:

  1. Be informed about how your data is collected and used.

  2. Request access to your data.

  3. Correct any inaccuracies in your data.

  4. Request deletion of your data under certain conditions.
