Video and Song Competitions
Conflict Resolution & Four-Way Test Highlighted in District Projects
DG Felix and his wife Carla, also a Rotarian and Past President of the Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise, are beginning the term by announcing two Special Project competitions designed to make a positive impact in the Rotary community.
Says the DG’s announcement, “I ask you to transform our District from Success to Significance by using our own successes to accomplish a lasting legacy for others. Under First Lady Carla’s initiative, there are two special projects which align themselves with Rotary International Focus Areas.”
Peace and Conflict Resolution/Prevention Video Competition
An original video that shows an example of any type of conflict and promote a resolution of the conflict, or show why the conflict is bad for the community. The video may be taken by any means including a smartphone. It must be between three and five minutes long.
Four Way Test Song Competition
An original song that includes the words of the Four Way Test and identifies it as the Four Way Test. The song should give an interpretation of what the test means and/or how it can be applied in our lives. The song can be submitted in video format or in audio format along with the lyrics. Use of smartphone technology is acceptable.

- Community Appropriateness
Certificates will be awarded to all entrants. Trophies will be award to Country Champions in each category: Rotary Clubs, Rotary Alumni, Rotaract, Interact and EarlyAct Clubs) Trophies and money prizes will be awarded to the overall First, Second and Third-Place finishers in the District in each category. (Where a club is school-based, the money prize will be shared between the entrant and the school.)
Entrants will retain the rights to their work, but District 7020 and Rotary International will have complete rights to use and distribute all content as they deem fit. Entrants agree to take pictures and promote District 7020 and Rotary service as required.
Deadline: December 18, 2015
Entries must be reviewed and signed by the Assistant Governor before submission.
