Rotary Minute Returns to Sunrise

The new Rotary year is bringing plenty of fresh new ideas to the Sunrise club. But it's also bringing back one OLD idea: the Rotary Minute.
The Rotary Minute is a 60-second talk about something interesting that relates to Rotary.
- It can be an interesting comment about an event from the history of Rotary International (or Rotary in the Cayman Islands).
- It can be about an exciting Rotarian project being done elsewhere in the world.
- It can be about some future plans that Rotary International has announced.
Everyone in the club will be expected to present a Rotary Minute at some point in time. An easy way to always be ready for that inevitable day is to prepare a Rotary topic in advance and just keep it handy—perhaps tucked away in your wallet.
So where can you find the information to prepare a Rotary Minute? Try any of the following resources:
- The Rotary International website at www.rotary.org
- Click on the "Media and News" tab
- Click on the "Service and Fellowship" tab
- Click on the "Students and Youth" tab
- Click on the "About Us" tab
- Our Rotary Sunrise website at www.rotarysunrise.ky
- The District website at www.clubrunner.ca/dprg/dxhome/_home.aspx?did=7020
Remember that the Rotary Minute is ONLY 60 seconds long. The Sergeant will very likely fine anyone who tries to stretch that minute into two or three or more. So use the KISS principle: Keep It Short & Sweet!
