Movember Needs Your Support!
The purpose of 'Movember' is to raise funds to support Cancer research and in particular prostate cancer. Men who do not normally sport facial hair are sponsored to grow moustaches for the month of November, whilst those who are normally moustachioed can join in by being clean shaven on the 1st November 2010. Hopefully this explains why some of us are looking a little more hirsute than normal...
Whilst the event is obviously carried out with much humour, the cause is of course very serious, with prostate cancer being the second leading cause of cancer deaths in men in North America (I am sure Christine can provide better statistics).
Therefore, if anyone wishes to sponsor myself, or any of the other "Mo' Bros" (I think I saw Steven Sokohl sporting another unexpected 'Mo' this morning), I will be bringing sponsor sheets to the meeting next week.
