Guaruma Student Profile: Raquel Perez

My name is Raquel Perez and I live in El Pital. I'm thirteen years old and I have one sister and a baby brother.

El Pital is a community along the Río Cangrejal. It is a very important place because of the forests and animals that live in the same area. The river is beautiful and we use the water for many things. When I'm not in school I love to swim in the river.

I also love going to my classes in Guaruma. I'm so glad that I can go to Guaruma because I learn many things there. My favorite subjects are English and Photography. I hope that I will be able to go to classes in Guaruma for many more years.
