Sunrise Rotarians gathered at Ristorante Pappagallo this past Friday (June 27) to mark the Changeover that celebrates the 2014-2015 accomplishments and welcomes the 2015-2016 leadership team.

   IPP Kim Remizowski thanked the Club and its supporters for making his year memorable.  After reviewing the Club's achievements and challenges, he awarded special honors to several members.

   Paul Harris Fellowships were awarded to several members: Treasurer John Lee, Pauline McGettigan, Uli Ecke, PP Woody Foster, Lynne Whittaker, Rotaract PP Danielle Japal, and Rotaract President Matthew Seales.

   Rotarian Jerrell Garner was awarded Rookie of the Year for 2014-15.

   Vice President Gina McBryan was awarded Rotarian of the Year.

   PP Andrea Bryan and Rotarian Lynne Whittaker were given special recognition for their years of service, dating back as Charter Members of the Club, as each announced their retirement from Club activities for the coming year.

   The ceremonies concluded with President Christine Matthews being formally inducted by Assistant Governor Eric Bush.  President Christine opened with special thanks to Dr. Sook Yin for introducing her to Rotary Sunrise.  She finished by sharing a special send-off given to her each morning by her husband, "Lord" Matthews, "smile, have a good day, and make someone have a better day for having met you."
   Except frogs.  The days will not be better for having met frogs during President Christine's term, based on phobias and funny stories shared by a small but determined band of ranidaphobes!
   Frogs notwithstanding, Sunrise Rotarians were urged to embrace this year's theme to "Be a Gift to the World."
