About the New District Logo
From Success to Significance
The 2015-2016 Rotary International District 7020 logo was designed by Rotarian Joanne Smith. Joanne is a Communications, Advertising and Graphic Arts expert and is a past president of the Rotary Club of East Nassau, Nassau, The Bahamas.
In the logo, the arrow is used to show progression in the slogan Success to Significance. The arrow flows in a near-eternity symbol showing the constant flow of energy with which Rotarians pursue their objectives and goals across the District.
The yellow-gold stars represent the 10 territories that make up a sunny and golden District 7020. The stars are the same colour as the word "Success" because Rotary Clubs in District 7020 are successful. The word "Significance" is the same colour as the district emblem, a red hibiscus, because it portrays our drive to move successful clubs to clubs of significance district-wide.
In 2015-2016, Rotarians across District 7020 will strive to make Rotary service projects significant to our communities. All of the colours used reflect Rotary International's new visual identity colour palette. The black, aqua and yellow-gold are also colours of the Bahamian flag, representing the home of the sitting District Governor and the site of the 2016 District Conference. The yellow-gold also represents the brilliant sunshine of District 7020 and the golden attributes of its clubs in 10 territories where Rotary is a story of Success. The magenta is one of the most vibrant colours in the new Rotary colour palette. It represents life and how it flows through Rotarians and therefore becomes the appropriate colour to portray the word Significance. Magenta is also used in an interpretation of the red hibiscus which is our District emblem.
