Fundraising Committee
The name of this committee implies its purpose. While it is the duty of EVERY Rotarian to be a fundraiser, this committee is responsible for organising activities and events that create the funds needed to support the Club’s service projects – literacy, youth and community – as well as international projects and disaster relief.
As a member of the committee you will have to help organise events and ensure their success by negotiating with vendors, promoting the event within the club as well as to the community at large, soliciting prizes if necessary, preparing materials e.g. tickets and flyers etc. Organising an event will also involve the preparation of a budget considering anticipated costs versus the expected return, volunteer hours etc
