The End of Our Rotary Year!

A few days ago I looked for - and found, in the Documents folder in ClubRunner - last year’s Annual Report. I was frankly delighted by how much excellent information there was in it.

It made me want to produce an Annual Report for this year that will be summer reading for all club members- and any potential new members you introduce to the club!

Now that’s a tall order for me and this year’s directors - but I believe we’re up to the task.

We’ll await your feedback once you’ve read it in the next few days. Honestly, the range and extent of what our amazing club has achieved this year is outstanding.

With huge thanks to Diane and Andrea for regularly producing this newsletter, and wishing you all a great summer!

Rotary Service at the West Dover School BBQ

A group from our Club spent a few hours helping the staff and students at West Dover School celebrate their end of the school year carnival by providing BBQ’d hot dogs for their dinner. We fed about 450 students and family members at the school, which is one of our Stay in School recipients. It was a smoky afternoon but the weatherman co-operated by keeping the rain away. This year's Rotary International Convention was very special as it was led by our own Canadian Jennifer Jones, President of Rotary International. Not everyone can attend this convention due to the distance in getting there.

Every morning there was a major session attended by all participants featuring the best of the best speakers. Below is a list of these great Rotary speakers who are truly inspirational and continue to lead the way for Rotary around the world.
