Rotary Lawn Bowling Drop In

Each Tuesday evening, a group of up to 10 Rotarians have been gathering to have a fun couple of hours of fellowship over a few games of lawn bowling. It’s a drop in format ($15 each person), with the boules provided. Last week, we had a young fellow, Miguel, from Brazil join us. He was a Rotary Exchange Student to Taiwan in 2016 and is in Calgary doing an internship in the Chemical Engineering department at U of C. His father is an active Rotarian in Brazil, so when he was looking for something to do on Tuesday evening, he checked our website, discovered we had a "drop in" fellowship event, and arrived on his bike to join us.

Location: Calgary Lawn Bowling Club
Address: 3375 Spruce Drive SW
Time: Every Tuesday at 6:30 pm
Cost: $15 per person drop in fee or $110 per person for a one year membership. We can start with drop ins and then they will prorate the membership fee later if we decide to commit.
What to wear: flat soled shoes (runners or sneaker are ideal)
Other details: We will be put into a draw and teams set each week, so we will meet other bowlers.
There's a pub right across the parking lot where we can grab a bite to eat, or we are a very short drive to Sauce.
Games will be cancelled for lightning storms or heavy smoke (over a 7) Looking forward to seeing you there!!
