Spring Adopt-A-HighwayAdopt-a-highway programs help keep litter off our roads and makes us proud of our beautiful state. The Rotary Club of Houghton also has a lot of fun doing it! Several intrepid Houghton Rotarians came out on a Saturday morning to pick up trash on the stretch of US 41 between McNair Hall on the Michigan Campus and the Portage Lake Golf Course. We typically do this highway cleanup in both the spring and the fall, and we never fail to find at least a few items that could be described as "interesting".
