Houghton Rotary and Wells Fargo partner for Literacy.
 
Below, Kristina Coon, President-Elect 2016-2017, wraps up reading to her class. It was a win:win project as the readers received just as much from the students as the students did from the volunteer readers.
 
Houghton Rotary partnered with Wells Fargo's Read First Program in reading to Houghton Elementary K-2nd grade students. Wells Fargo donated books to Houghton Rotary. Rotary members, families and friends volunteered to read the books over a 10 week period. Each week, after the reading, the book was given to the students to add to their classroom reading selection. In all, 130 books were donated to 10 classrooms.
