Successful FundraisingWe have had two very successful fundraisers over the past couple of months. The first was our annual Golf Tournament in which we raised over $8,000 that will go towards the scholarships that we award each year. Secondly, we raised over $360 at the Bellevue Pantry Food Drive which was held on October 18th at Bakers in Twin Creek. We also delivered several car loads full to of non-perishable items to the pantry that were so kindly donated by our community.

Gregory Fripp from Whispering Roots VisitsA special thanks to Gregory Fripp, founder of Whispering Roots who shared with our club on December 10th about aquaponics. Aquaponics is the combination of Aquaculture (Raising fish) and Hydroponics (Growing plants in liquid instead of soil). We pump the water (effluent) from our fish tanks into our plant grow beds. The fish effluent becomes the fertilizer for the plants! The plants love the natural fertilizer!! They grow big, green and healthy!

No Time for Rotary?Have you ever thought about joining a service or networking group, but are worried that you don’t have the time to commit to a weekly meeting? Many business professionals share this same sentiment. Rotary now offers a new and flexible membership opportunity that might work with your busy schedule. A Corporate Membership allows a company to share a single membership among 4 employees. Each employee is an active Rotarian, but shares the membership responsibilities with co-workers. The pressure is off! Please contact Sarah Conaway for more information at sconaway@hillcresthealth.com We look forward to hearing from you!
