ECOFO KINAMA IV DESKS PROJECT

The objective of the project is to provide ECOFO KINAMA IV with 200 desks.

This Fundamental School
has 25 classrooms for 4,257 students. The 200 desks will benefit 660 students who follow the lessons
being very badly seated or seated on the ground.

The Project has been submitted to the Rotary Club Edmonton Northeast's International Service Committee for contribution to its funding

Achievement

The Project is carried out in two stages:


1st Stage: Delivery of 100 desks for a cost of BIF 4,500,000 financed as follows:

  • Rotary Club Edmonton Northeast: BIF 1.469.439
  • Rotary Club Bujumbura: BIF 3,030,561
  • Total: BIF 4,500,000

These first 100 desk benches were delivered on June 2, 2022, in the presence of the provincial authorities of the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research.


2nd Stage: Delivery of 100 other desks

  • Rotary Club Edmonton Northeast: BIF 0
  • Rotary Club Bujumbura: BIF 4,500,000
  • Total: BIF 4,500,000

This stage was completed in late 2022.
