All Rotary Clubs aim to provide service to their local community and globally around the world.  There are three key ways we achieve this -

  1. Fundraising for local and international charities which in turn provide services where they are needed;
  2. Volunteering time on Boards and organizing committees for club or multi-club projects and initiatives; and/or
  3. Direct participation in community projects.
Listed below you will find a little bit more about the different causes we support.  Many of the causes we support accept direct donations and links are provided below if you wish to do so.  However, if you are unsure and interested in donating to a cause please do not hesitate to contact us and we will ensure that your generosity is directed appropriately.

Finally, though many of our fundraising activities, we also raise funds to help develop the leadership skills of local youth through our various Youth Programs

The Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation is one of the world's leading charity and, since it's founding over 100 years ago, has funded over USD 3 billion in life-saving sustainable projects around the world in six key focus areas:

  1. Promoting Peace
  2. Providing Clean Water
  3. Saving Mothers & Children
  4. Supporting Education
  5. Growing Local Economies
  6. Fighting Disease
As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, we've reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent since our first project to vaccinate children in The Philippines in 1979.
Local Service Projects

“Service Above Self” is Rotary’s principal motto, which means that every Rotarian is responsible for finding ways to improve the quality of life in his or her community, and in those around the world, through service. Ask any Rotarian why they joined Rotary and they’ll include Service, or ‘I want to be of service’ in their answers.

We are hearing more Rotarians say: “I want to make a difference in my own backyard”. Community Service is your own backyard!

When Rotary is viewed as a positive force in the community, its membership strengthens and grows, adding to the organization's ability to serve worldwide. Community Service is the opportunity Rotary clubs have to implement club projects and activities that improve life in the local community.
International Service Projects

International Service encompasses actions taken to expand Rotary's humanitarian reach around the globe and to promote world understanding and peace.

In this area, Rotarians strive for the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

International Service Projects are designed to meet the humanitarian needs of people in many lands, with particular emphasis on the most underprivileged children and families in developing countries.

Through International Service programs, Rotarians provide millions in funds and donations-in-kind each year.

There is no one-way to carry out a International Service project. When it comes to implementing a project, creativity and imagination are the keys to success. Projects may be as diverse as assisting in a donkey-breeding program in order to provide a less expensive means of farming to helping build a medical complex that will serve more than 25,000 people or to drilling potable water wells for entire villages.

Rotary International encourages Rotary clubs to develop projects that address priority needs identified by the communities they serve, to help people help themselves, and to ensure projects are environmentally sustainable.
