Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Slowly, we are making a difference in the lives of the children in the Colima area. Over the years, there have been many changes at Project Amigo but the need remains constant. Please help us by encouraging your acquaintances and family to get involved.
Changing Lives in Mexico
Even though we are experiencing wonderful weather in Alberta as I write this, in about 8 weeks, some of us will be shoveling snow again. Now is the perfect time to think about a winter get-away. Have you considered returning to Project Amigo? You do remember the warmth of the welcome, the genuine Mexican hospitality, the smiles of the children, and that sense of satisfaction knowing that you were making a difference in the life of a child.
Cindy and Coke, executive directors of Project Amigo, have graciously extended us a special invitation to return for another volunteer week. Take advantage of this opportunity for make new friends, to rekindle old friendships, to check out all of changes or perhaps to meet the child you sponsor.
The registration fee remains at $1,200.00 per person (shared rooms) or $1325.00 for a private room. A deposit of $600.00 will secure your place. It is also possible to make monthly payments. Depending on the room arrangements, a maximum of 24 volunteers can be accommodated for each session. Please encourage others to visit Project Amigo…have your friends, neighbors, or family join you.
Nov 8-15: Literacy and the Environment
Dec 7-14: Holiday Fiesta for Children: This would be a great week for anyone thinking of bringing kids or grandkids. What an awesome early Christmas present!!! This week is going to be very special, as it will be the 30th Fiesta Week
Jan 11-24: English Tutoring- This is a new work week started in January 2014. It was very popular. Everyone loved the “one-on-one” with the high school and college students. Sign up for only one week of the program if the two weeks is hard to schedule. The cost is $1,600.00 for the two weeks.
Mar 7-14: Literacy and the Environment
If you are unable to participate in a work week, please consider making a one-time donation or sponsor a child. By sponsoring a child for $100.00 annually, you can give a child hope and forever change their future through education.
