Zebra Child Protection Centre

We were given a lesson on how to improve a terrible situation. Prior to 2002, crimes against children were handled at the Police Station, by (unwilling) detectives and cases were not consistently followed up on.
Due to the stress of a courtroom appearance, 90% simply went unreported. An updated system called the Zebra Child Protection Centre was launched at that time using a facility away from the crime and bureaucracy of the Police Station. Councilors and assistance is available. For children who can't go home, a back pack is supplied with toiletries, underwear and, as our club has helped; pajamas.
A short, disturbing film was shown, depicting three situations where Zebra is important.
It made us appreciate coming from loving homes. 1000-1300 cases a year is the case load.
