Here is a picture of the 4 RYPEN attendees our club sponsored this weekend.
The camp was held the weekend, 14-18 May, 2015, at Jasper Palisades Education Centre in Jasper.
RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) is sponsored by Rotary International District 5370.
It’s a five-day camp created for youth in Grades 10 – 12 who are in search of a positive identity.
They are not normally recognized for their academic performance, and are not known for their disruptive behaviour.
This intensive five-day program of self-discovery, through seminars, speakers and physical activities, focused on helping young people develop their self-confidence, self-motivation and goal setting skills.
Participants will be provided with the tools and practice to take what they learn at camp and apply it to situations that relate to real life.
The objective is to influence growth to bring about happy, productive young people who are positive role models to their peers in their community.
