Thursday, October 23 saw more than 20 prospective new members show up to plan the upcoming year. Here are the minutes from that meeting:
Important points we have discussed at the meeting today:
Ronald McDonald House: possible times for that will be during December, February, and April. We will be going after school from 3:30 to 7:30 pm.
Allen Gray(senior home): It's just a few blocks down from school we will possibly be walking there, we will go during November or December, on a Wednesday, for the whole day from period 1 and coming back at period 4, we will bake cupcakes or Christmas cookies depending on the month we will be going.
Helping Hampers: we have discussed the idea of making 5 boxes for helping hampers from the Rotary Club, this will be sometime in December, where it wouldn't interfere with the school calender, we can do it on a different time, it doesn't matter.
FIELD TRIP!!: we are planning for a fun field trip sometime in January to the Telus world of science, we'll discuss it more in detail through our upcoming meetings.
Festival of Trees: we will volunteer there, we will discuss it more during the next meeting.
Rotary Executive: We will be making a rotary board with the pictures and names of the Rotary executives as well putting quotes with each one.
