Blood - It's in you to give...

On Wednesday April 30th the Canadian Blood Service honoured blood donors in our community who had reached a significant level of combined blood donations.

Our very own Rose Marie Basaraba and Eric Solash was invited to receive recognition for their 100th and 50th blood or blood product donation.

I know Rose Marie is a regular plasma donor, because I see her often at the Blood Centre. Eric has a rare blood type and for that reason they want him to stay in the regular blood donation program. Otherwise, at his age, he would have reached a much higher donation level.

Congratulations to them both for their unselfish donations, each donation of which can help three recipients.
