AJM Early Act Club
We have 24 children in the AJM early Act Club. We meet every 2 weeks where their president runs the meeting to make plans. These kids have to do one international Project, one vocational project and one community project.
For the international project, they raised 16 boxes of books to go to Belize for the literacy program in under 3 weeks.
Our community project is coming up. They have decided to go to the Ronald MacDonald House to make dinner which will be 4 types of Pizza, 3 types of Salad and an ice cream sunday bar for dessert. For this they are doing a fundraising project on their own with hopes of raising $500 in a 2 week Valentines Day rose campaign at their school. We will be going to cook dinner at the house March 7.
The Vocational project will be one that is organized this year but will take place in 2 parts. One will be to show the Kindergarden students the grade one rooms and to introduce them to the teachers in grade one. The other they want to welcome the new kindergarden students on their first day of school to help make them feel comfortable in the school and help the parents see that the kids are ok. (their words, not mine)
So as you can see we have a very active little club! I am very proud of the kids and what they have accomplished this year!
